Thing is its very likely they have satellite outposts and bases. after all they had access to there locations.

I'd imagine you're right, since ED-E seemed to have encountered a hidden Enclave outpost in Chicago. There is also the mystery of why Whitley sent ED-E to Navarro; perhaps there is still some type of Enclave presence there, despite what happened (since he makes reference to Navarro scientists).

Arguably, getting married in FO2 allowed you to pimp out your spouse. But that's as close as you can get.

Well, there isn't really a good quest tied around the wife-pimping, no real business at all from what I understand, but there is surely (and with a lot of repercussions) for the business in slavery.

You seen the ME:A subsection tear itself a new one over Johnny Cash?

Whining is the natural state of existence for fandoms.

Wait, what's wrong with Johnny Cash?

I thought it was a perfect song for the Mass Effect: New Vegas trailer.

"It wasn't Mass Effect, buhu" I love that song and it fits the trailer perfectly, but no people wanted the Mass Effect theme.

A new series with a different motif isn't a bad thing. I just think people are too attached to Shepard and the Space Opera.

Do you think bows and crossbows would fit into the Fallout universe? I kinda want them to make an appearance in FO4.

There is that. They would be good for sneak-killing raiders though. And would fit into my build. Seeing as they are adding cryo ammo, we could have cryo arrows and bolts. I want it!

When you have throwing spears in New Vegas, I don't see why an bow would be so outlandish. But I get the feeling we won't be seeing bows in this game. Maybe in DLC.

Been kind of busy haven't contributed any thoughts yet.  The trailer has me hyped though :)

Initial Thoughts:

- Like the crafting and I think its everything we all wanted. On the face of it 50 base weapons doesn't sound like much, but some of the mods make for completely different styles. Such as turning a Laser Rifle into a long range sniper or beam splitters to close quarters. Effectively doubles that weapon count; at least.

- Like how the base building has developed. Im sure going back to Skyrim and the Hearthstone DLC, this was what they were aiming for initially. Good to see it fleshed out more.

- Voiced protagonist, Im a fan. Im tending to see lots of people make a single post they like this. Those against seem to be making post after post of dissatisfaction. As a result seems there is more noise then there actually is.

- Looks like some of the story will be based on the BoS trying to take control of a tech area. Guessing we will have to choose a side...

It certainly seems like they are building on what was done with Hearthfire. I wonder if there will be reactivity to the choices made by the player (like building a BoS style base in a certain area).

Well, the voiced protagonist, auto dialogue, and the ME/DA style dialogue wheel are going to be contentious issues for some, particularly those who disagree with their implementation in the series. I'm not a fan myself, but I'd rather discuss the lore.

Which area is that? If the Institute is the major player with a fascination for tech, I'd imagine they would inevitably have conflict with each other.

If this Brotherhood is more geared towards a Western BoS approach, that could make things less black and white for the main character; no clear cut "good guy" faction (similar to the Pitt, where you were choosing between Wernher or Ashur), but perhaps an issue of ideology.

Just the number of lines for the protagonist impresses me (over 13,000). I wonder how dynamic it is. No one has even played it though and it's already called "autodialogue". What am I missing?

In any case, I don't mind them doing new things. It's not like FO3 was some uber game and now I've got to be nostalgic about maintaining Fallout's purity. There's plenty of room to improve. It was fun, but it wasn't that great.

I thought it was a perfect song for the Mass Effect: New Vegas trailer.

A lot of people don't enjoy his music or the genres connected to it. Many might know of his music without knowing anything about it, meaning there's no message to the trailer besides a confusing tone shift.

The Cash track has a really mixed reception because the proportion of people who are familiar with him among gamers is lower than Bioware thought. Which is why it felt like New Vegas. ;)

Lolno. That feature is basically taken straight from the Realtime Settler mod for FO3. Nothing new, Bethesda has a history of adding popular mods into later iterations of their games (see FNV weapon modding for example, copy&pasta'd straight from the WMK mod for FO3).

Don't forget the people who somehow jumped to the conclusion that the entire ME:A soundtrack will be compromised mostly of Country music ... it's as if they never heard of trailer music before ... or maybe they genuinely think TSFH dide the soundtracks for ME2 and 3. Who knows which side of stupid they belong to.

The dialogue that's spoken by the main character without player input. We've seen some instances of this in the preview for Fallout 4.

There's also supposed to be over 1,000 names recorded, so your character may be referred to by name. I don't know if they will provide a list of the first names that were voiced for the game.

Probably, after all it is Creation Engine 2.0 and since bows are in Skyrim, i don't see it as unlikely. There was even a crossbow mod for New Vegas i think.

Auto-dialogue is tricky. It can work for simple things, like they did in Mass Effect 2, but when it comes to form personality they need to leave it out. So i am hoping it won't have insanely much auto-dialogue. Commenting on the envoirment and stuff like that i don't mind.

Well, here's hoping they apply some of their open world philosophy to dialogue as well. It can't be any worse than Bioware - and their stories aren't nearly as open.

And I liked Bioware btw.. if I can't manage to complain about that (much), then I probably won't here either. The only times I really hated autodialogue was little scenes where I had to hug Liara. Or pout over the VS. Or something like that. And I don't see that popping up here.. Bethesda is not one to even care about this type of thing.
