Yeah, there are a minimum of something like 24 returning perks returning and 77 in total in the base game. Pretty cool reveal actually.
Is there an screenshot for that? I haven't seen anything about the perks so far.

Damn, imagine tumblr when they realize you can't actually have a same sex marriage.

I'm just glad to see Courtenay Taylor in a lead role. I don't care about the romance story, whatever it may be. I might just end up playing a female this time around actually.

Maybe. She's got a lot of range though (as do most VO's, I suppose). It might be nothing like Jack... but I love women with raspy voices like that.

Is it confirmed we'll have romance in Fallout 4?

Nothing is confirmed beyond us having a wife or husband. I think not, but it will probably added by mod makers sooner or later.

Well, being married should be as romantic as it get's, no?

Who knows.. Maybe we can play it like a Rodney Dangerfield type of marriage. Maybe the spouse left the vault before you -- for good reason. ![]()

Well I meant do we romantic options rather than the one we're forced into?

Doubt it. Bethesda has teased it in characters from time to time. Like Sarah Lyons and Serana. They did have marriage in Skyrim though, but it was not romantic ![]()
I'm guessing you aren't married.
Oh no, absolutely not. But we are talking about the gaming world here, were everything goes well, and the couple rides off in the sunset to live happly ever after. Well, usually anyway...

Hey now. What's more romantic than winning over Ysolda in Skyrim with a mammoth tusk, and enabling her drug dealing business?

Now you've ruined Aela for me.
I was down with the whole savage Pagan thing... but furries? Damn.

Maybe there will be a sexual discovery subplot.

I'm personally on the fence with this. I think it's a possibility. On the one hand, Beth has been experimenting with the idea of romance for years now, Fo3 and Skyrim both had a level of romance to them. Be it the teases they did with Sarah Lyons, Amata, and Serana. Or the sort of "Why is this even here" marriage stuff. They also seem keen to do more in depth characters and story this time around, so I think they might see romance as a logical extension of that. Add to all of that, that most of the most popular RPGs right now (The witcher, Dragon Age, Mass effect) all have a romance element to them. It definitely seems like there's a chance.
On the other hand, they've also never fully committed to a proper romance, and your character starts out married. So I think there's a good possibility of "I'm much too broody for vaginas or penises, sorry.".
Whatever the case is, I certainly hope they don't force a marriage on you, like, "Oh your wife/husband and kid somehow survived and now you have this to deal with.". It would just be annoying to me, especially if I didn't like the character. I'm fine with having an established PC in a Beth game, doesn't really bother me. When you start establishing them to the point where I have a wife and kid to deal with in between scavenging for nuka cola and lunchboxes it becomes an issue. It would either be very artificial. EG Skyrim, see you in 15 hours of play for when I come back to the house to drop off some sweet loot and methodically place it around the rooms, and then **** off again without speaking to you. Or just an annoyance like you have another layer of **** to deal with that you might not want to.
Now you may say "Why wouldn't a romance with a random NPC add that." Well I think if it's a companion it wouldn't be as bad, and it's also optional. So if it is poorly done you can just ignore that aspect of the game, or never talk to that character in the first place.
I'm pretty sure the spouses have set genders. You can only choose to play as the husband and the wife. The sex option is there only to allow you to choose between either of them. Besides, what's the point of the baby being set to look like the couple if not to show it's their biological child.
