Like Bioware, I don't think Bestheda is capable of fixing their biggest flaws.

But Bethesda's shenanigan's are cheeky and funny. And Bioware's shenanigan's are cruel and tragic.

...which makes them not really shenanigans at all.

EVIL shenanigans!

Just about 24 hours left and the conference starts. Who's watching?

It's the only conference that I will bother with as the last couple of years of E3 and the Video Game Awards have been incredibly lackluster.

Did anyone else see this: http://kotaku.com/be...ed-2-1711155583 ?

I loled at how Dishonored 2 got leaked.

I hope Fallout 4 can find a balance between unique settlements and ones that are nothing but over the top jokes.
Towns in 1, 2 and New Vegasarrow-10x10.png were all positioned in places that made sense and had believable backstories. However, this could lead to them becoming not so unique. It's understandable since towns and cities built by ethnically and culturally homogenous people will not be radically different. But it could be boring.

Fallout 3's towns were all unique and each gave a different vibe. But they could be nothing but stupid jokes.W

We had Megaton, Rivet City, Underworld, Paradise Falls with good positioning and good backstory.
But then we also had Canterbury common which is "threatened" by comic bookarrow-10x10.png characters.

Girdershades which has a total of two inhabitants and one is a naive adult woman with an obssession for Nuka Cola.

Little Lampelight and just...are we supposed to accept that groups of children have managed to maintain that settlement for children only for 200 years by being able to find enough orphans to keep their numbers up while exiling anyone who reached the age of 16?
And no one ever came back with a group, leaked the location, etc?
It could have been a great quest if they had paid homage to Stephen King's Children of the Corn and have a settlement composed by only people below the age of 20 who reproduce amongst themselves and worshipped something that demanded the sacrifice of anyone who reached the age of 21. The Lone Wanderer could negotiate or shoot his/her way through.

The Republic of Dave. It could have been a great critique of tyranny disguised as democracy and cult of personality but no, just a joke.

* Yawn * I enjoyed their comical social commentary.

The game is plenty dark already and the comedy lightened up the mood.

Megaton and most of the settlements were interesting.

Maybe we could discuss what we would like to see in FO 4?

5 more hours...

Am currently replaying Fallout 3 (yes, I know, Fallout 1 & 2 fans). Trekking through The Mall with my buddy, Charon, about to stick a new dish on the Washington Monument for Three Dog.

How are the rest of y'all passing the time?

I need to play Fallout 3 again with the DLC after I finished the Minerva's Den DLC for Bioshock 2.

Then I'll get into New Vegas.

Playing Mass Effect on insanity, but i can't focus, lots of nerves. Gonna go over on a modded FO3 game and splat some Mutants meanwhile.

That should take you right to FO4 release, honestly.

Playing Fallout New Vegas.

Just finished Come Fly with Me, firing 9 moron ghouls out into...well, I really don't know. But hey, they loaded the rockets, and I pushed the button just like they wanted.

...they're on their own now.

Got done; went to see Old Lady Gibson to sell a ton of loot; walked away 900 caps richer; moved north; got jumped by a Legion assassin squad (killed Vulpes and his goons in Nipton--oops), looted their carcasses; went back to see Cliff in Novac and traded all that Legion garbage for ammo.

...been a good day so far.

I think I'll just keep doing this!

Just going to post this every so often, so late comers can tune in if they haven't been following the news:

Bethesda's E3 Press Conference: 7PM Pacific Time (adjust for your time zone accordingly).

Bethesda's Twitch Feed:
http://www.twitch.tv/bethesda

Also viewable here:
http://www.pcadvisor...stream-3615390/
I think this feed might be across the pond, so our European brothers and sisters might connect better; no idea really. just throwing it out there as an alternative, even though they are linking directly to Twitch.

well i had nade a Fallour RP once set in Oregon and had 2 groups one named the Ammo-Zones an all female group and another named the Vikings a all Male group. both were as bad as the other.

i did have a all child faction that made more sense than Littlr Lamplight.

being runaway slaves setup in an abbandoned theam park and useing repurposed Child sized powerarmour.

( prewar propaganda. think Fallout Lazertag to get little Timmy and Jenny to join up.)

HA. LOL. Yeah, admittedly, I've played this game so much, I know where every kill squad trigger point is...so, yeah I actively seek out Legionnaires to harvest...some great loot as you level up over 20! I'm still a lowly level 11, but hunting rifles and .44 mags repair up pretty well for caps.

EDIT: Oh, and I usually can get a couple of decent sets of sports equipment worth a decent cash in.

Matty nailed it...with help from the Redditors.
Remember the Vault-Tec board in the garage at the end? Just so happens when viewed in Hi-Def you will see all perks in FO4. There are 77. 24 of those are returning and he only covers those in the video to prevent spoilers.

Guess which perk is returning that a lot of folks here are interested in???????

I suppose this is a slight SPOILER...but not really, so no tag.

Action Boy and Action GIRL!

Guess what that means? Now, its not necessarily official, but its official enough for me.

See the video here:

Matty, as usual, comes through.

Don't know why, but I've never done that! Brilliant. I usually walk on rails until I get to Novac, then cut loose. Truly a great idea.

Would Bethesda do a remaster for Fallout 3 and New Vegas?

When I bought my ps3 in Nov 2008, I got it just for the blu-ray to watch movies. Fallout 3 was the first video game I played on my ps3. Good game. My favorite is the deathclaws. I like to see one that is more dangerous than the Legendary Deathclaw in New Vegas.

Fallout 3/New Vegas Remaster Collection would make me cry tears in the name of Liberty Prime.
