I know you get one per level, one extra if you're human, but is there a cap?  How many on average do you have by mid or late game?

I ask because I'm curious if it's feasible to spec into two different weapon types - say 1h/shield and 2h - and then swap between them as needed, using skills from vanguard, battlemaster, and the specialization class to fill the gaps.

The level cap is 27.  I don't know how many amulets are available right now.  I normally only get the crestwood one.

Not feasible, pick a style.

By late game it's doable, although there's not enough relative advantage in swapping weapon sets for specific combats to make it worth the effort. The only practical reason to spec into both would be to obtain some of the S&S passives to increase survivability for a 2H warrior. By the time you have the points to do so you probably shouldn't need the boost.

It's totally feasible, especially for warriors.  I typically chose a bunch of abilities from both trees just for the passives.

I don't think it would work as well for Rogues, but again I routinely choose abilities from both trees.

But then you aren't really speccing for two styles, you are a passiv-o-holic. :D

I think it would be worth it if you could weapon swap in combat, but because you can't I would stick to a single fighting style.

Tactician's Renewal sort of makes it feasible, though I suspect it would also be a massive pain in the ass each time you wanted to swap skill sets.

Bah, I spend so much time in the Undercroft min/maxing my gear for every battle and quest that the time to do a respec and skill swap is nothing. I respec at the drop of a hat.
