Everyone wants a title.  Why are they tight lipped? Who knows. Maybe they want to be sure the name sounds "good" before they present it to us.  Could have be focus tested with select groups similar to what we saw with the leak.. (Simple PR and Marketing 101).

I wouldn't mind if they just called in Mass Effect, Mass Effect 4 or Mass Effect: The Next Generation. lol

you didn't say next generation.. oh you did..

looks like all the game makers are getting into the starve the fans technique for popularity and pre purchase status.. "blankety blank blank blank  will be released on blankety blank blank..blank.

I'm drawing a blank myself..

edit: after reading more I see that a title isn't what I'm after so much as the actual game it's self, if any? It's like that our esteemed devs have opted out, or left an exit avenue to take as a last resort. There are no responses any more from the 'crew' here on the whereabouts of ME Next? Just vague iterations that happened years back? I slammed the dragon wizard game in no time. Play through again is not forecast in the near future.... It was good but NOT mass effect..sadly enough.

I imagine we'll see something at E3.

I don't think lack of information is to starve the fans and get us to pre-purchase the game.  I think its no not overhype the game.  The more information you get too soon, could be detrimental.

Remember SWTOR? That game was HYPED, and for many... It was a let down :( ... Other games did the same, too much hype...  I think by putting on a cap for information flow quenches our thirst for information, and reduces the hype but still generates interest.

I doubt any game can be invoked without at least residual hype... The waiting for news on a supposed game in development that never surfaces, nor do the devs here 'reflect' on our posts considering it.  I've ran fresh out of tantrum, head directly to despondency...

yeah, we'll see fallout 4 slam dunk our hero's hard work and to think he/she jumped into that green beam for no reason... I'm at a loss.

I'm tired of waiting, or checking back here for information, and many are probably tuning out the ME ideal. That is a lot of new customers to convince/sell stuff to.

I really figured the game would've been out by now.. beginning to think it's just an urban legend?

The game is happening, it's been officially confirmed at E3 2014 and again at Comic Con 2014 and N7 Day 2014...

I'm trying to be super patient with the new game because I know if I can wait, it will turn out amazing.

But how awesome would it be if at E3 Bioware announced the game comes out in like a couple months? I know that would never happen, but I can dream, right???

I dunno, I'm a hoper too, but am not so confident any more that the game will actually show. It's too quiet, way too quiet. imho   Everyone has to just assume that it's coming cause someone said back in 2014.. but nothing since that I know of? Even here where all the action is supposed to be. We can hear a pin drop..as it were.

You're right, don't think that would be a good idea to announce game is going fall or winter 2015.. Especially with the rumored ME trilogy remastered for XB1 and PS4.  If they do announce release date and ME remastered is happening, I'd expect ME1-3 to be released early 2016 and ME4 later the following year.

You haven't been paying attention to the Dev's twitter feeds.  Chris Wynn, one of the lead developers tweeted about a progress review last Thursday.  A day or so before that, Jos Hendricks, one of the level designers, talked about getting his *ss handed to him by the combat.

Game is definitely still in very active development.

Do you think you could be more melodramatic?

Given how everything is screen grabbed and will be used against them in the neoGAF, BSN, or Redditt court of law, I'd be tight lipped too.

Settle the hell down. It's only been 3 years since ME3 was released, this is a new team making the game, and this is how BioWare is handling marketing now.
And EA is a publicly traded company. They would have to announce that the next Mass Effect game is canceled. To cancel it without saying anything publicly would be illegal.

I'm gonna buy a new, super-buffed up rig with a quantum dot monitor to enjoy ME4. So tell me about being patient.... :_

If no news get out on day 15, I'm gonna have a heart attack.

If they announce Mass Effect at E3, the rest of the yearr is looking good for Sci-fi games. Halo, Xcom, Fallout, and Mass Effect, and I'll be very happy. We've had a drought of good Sci-Fi games lately.
