I just hope the people who came up with the Pretorian bubble and Seeker Swarms influence the next game very heavily.

I support this idea.
I'll generalize it: people who designed collectors should influence the next game very heavily.

You can also put a proxy or recon mine on the ground (while not aiming at the Praetorian) and let a Praetorian fly over it and not proc the bubble.
Exactly. Because you're not pressing any power button while you're looking at it.

That's definitely far from needed to proc the bubble. lol.

I just threw an Inferno Grenade while looking at the floor, then looked at the flying Praetorian. It got on fire without proccing a bubble

Well yeah, that's how I always toss nades when I'm surrounded by the Phantoms death squad and Praetorians. Hasn't failed me yet, unless the pugs fail me or someone want to steel my epeen points by playing the weapon when I'm playing power focus... ahem. Yeah, that's right. I'm that guy too.

I'd just like to point out the pure design genius of giving an enemy a feature that simply obviate so many game mechanics all at once. Lesser game designers might balk at the idea that everything from biotics to electricity to fragmentation grenades should be included in one "power" designation, but not at Bioware. Trying to explain any of the reasoning behind any of that would have ruined the mystique. And then, allowing that same enemy to use its own devastating power through the bubble, and letting it rake through meters of solid material in the game world! Do you realize how many developers may have tried to "correct" something like that? And how about allowing it to shoot through its own body to fire its meter-wide beams that actually affect an area about 12 meters wide (each)?
I just hope the people who came up with the Pretorian bubble and Seeker Swarms influence the next game very heavily.
but there is a reason....

On a side note, it's still amazing how many pugs throw powers at a floating crab and continue to throw powers even after it's bubble of denial has been made. I know it doesn't say anywhere that it does that, but you would think that they would eventually notice what's going on and that it's not taking any damage...
This requires basic observation skills. Something a lot of pugs are missing ![]()

^ Basic pug observation tells me the best tactic is to trap yourself with no way out in a wide open LZ. I'm a good observing pug.

Interestingly enough had a match recently where the crab did not get the bubble up whilst in the friendly Volus's recon mine's scan range in the first place.. Was running a grenade happy Demolisher so had the crabs bring bubble up all the time, therefore when it did not happen it was immediately noticeable.
I wonder if anyone else come across the same thing before 'cause if not a fluke that'd be quite a neat feature of the already useful RM?

I was wondering if Praetorians take less damage from weapons when they put up the bubble, because I never actually knew but suspected they did, so I checked the Wiki and it seems they do, but it isn't very clear. Either way, more importantly,
I read this on the Wiki about Praetorians:
A Batarian Soldier/Sentinel with Bladed Armor can actually kill a Praetorian with low health when it uses the instant kill attack. If the reflected damage is high enough, the Batarian will stay alive after the attack.
Has anyone ever had this happen? I'm pretty sure it would be one of the coolest things to witness.

Here, have a pity like back at you.
OT - Praetorian bubbles are great for stealing kills from power focus players.

Yep, our favourite game devs are like honey badgers. They know this was essential to make players ascend in gameplay prowess. With the Collectors they were quite successful. With the Geth Prime not so much.

Uhm... Let me be very clear on this: NEVER CHECK THE GODDAMNED WIKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In fact, the bubble offers absolutely no damage resistance WHATSOEVER. The ONLY thing it does against guns is that it increases (by a lot) the distance required to get a double hit. That's all.
Also, the second fact you mentioned from wiki seems completely absurd and out of the world, since sync kills do no damage whatsoever to characters. Which doesn't surprise me, since... Again, it's the wiki.
Bottom line: NEVER TRUST THE WIKIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]()

Very, very rarely this happens on higher difficulties. Blade armor damage doesn't scale well.

Will DOT powers continue to damage the Praetorian even after it put up its bubble? ... assuming you got the power to hit before it bubbled, obviously.
