It's almost certain that Mass Effect revelations will occur, but that doesn't mean Dragon Age has to take a back seat. Good grief people...so quick to give up on a game that has only had one itty-bitty DLC. I still think there is room for two solid expansions to DA:I. Don't worry about Mass Effect and what's going on with it. We all know it's getting plenty of love and attention.

You'll want to decide to go fully Paragon or fully Renegade in the first game and third game in particular. This affects certain scenes quite a bit.
Hmm... I thought ME2 was the game where you really wanted to go all one way or the other, in order to pass dialogue checks.

I remember ME2 being more forgiving than either of the others, actually.
In ME3, I was full paragon and and I still couldn't hit the last paragon check with TIM at the end.

Were you consistantly using paragon responses in your conversations with him? That's a major part of it as well.I remember ME2 being more forgiving than either of the others, actually.

Pretty sure I was. I haven't played it since the EC ending though, so my memory is fuzzy. But I knew how close you had to stick to straight paragon renegade in order to hit them all from the other games, so I assume I was.

Okay. I kept forgetting that when I was playing. I'd remember about five seconds after the conversation ended So I never got that ending. It's damned hard to keep track of unless you're doing a marathon play through.

That particular check doesn't work like the others in the game. You have to have hit the appropriate Charm or Intimidate lines during your earlier interactions with TIM. I don't just mean passing the check, but actually selecting the lines.
All the other checks are pretty easy unless you only play the critical path. The way Reputation works, the only way to fail checks is to blow off all the sidequests. Even then, an imported Shepard can't fail some checks because of the imported P/R points and main quest Reputation awards -- for instance, talking down the VS during Priority: The Citadel II is not failable with an imported Shepard. I wasn't a fan of the ME3 implementation once I realized that I couldn't play a non-persuasive Shepard even if I wanted to.
As for ME2, it can be forgiving for certain playstyles. Others, not so much. One of my Shepards was Renegade on certain things but Paragon on other things -- for instance, would gun down thugs right and left, but wouldn't exterminate the rachni or the Feros colonists, that sort of thing. That evaluates close enough to the middle for him to fail the difficult P/R checks in ME2.

I only hear good things about ME, maybe I should give it a try. But still, they could do both on the E3, right?
Mass Effect is one of my favorite things ever. I was totally addicted to the entire trilogy. I suppose I still am.

Oh man. Context?
I always figured that any sort of remaster for the trilogy would be a pipe dream. Especially if they were to fix the first game up with the gameplay and mechanics from the latter games - would be just incredible.

At the Xbox E3 brief, they used Mass Effect. The walk on the Citadel Tower in End Game, blasting through Geth, to announce backward compatability for 360 games. And not like the PS4. You own the game, you can play it, no charge.

It may simply be related to Microsoft making the XB1 backwards compatible with 360 games.
Edit: Beaten.

Ah.
Well, I'd be a liar if I said that wasn't a massive disappointment. Oh well.

Yuph, and a list was mentioned but Xbox.com is getting understandable traffic right now so I can't find who's first.
The other interesting thing is that Bethesda announced that Fallout 4 will be moddable on Xbox One, ie mods mad on PC will be usable for the console. And they stressed no charge.
So How does that play with future Bioware games? Something fun to think about.

Sorry, but the fact I can not have to worry about keeping my old xbox 360 alive to be able to play my games...
I would, however, still buy a remastered ME trilogy.... (significant look at Bioware. Hint Hint)

My experience with modding leads me to believe that it's going to play hell with their ESRB rating.
That's super interesting though... and high time it was made possible. Wow.

We'll see how Bethesda manages it. Should make an interesting model for how things work.
The only Thedas related information from EA for Xbox specifically was that DAI is coming to EAaccess Vault at the end of summer.
So if there's a DLC, it's not Mircosoft exclusive.

Seems a bit odd considering they seem to be finishing or finished their next DLC. Now would be the ideal time to slip in a quick trailer. But apparently the days of actually knowing when Bioware DLC will come out are gone, replaced with the foolish strategy of telling us when they're out... when they're out. Yay.
*Sigh* I like to be able to plan my playthroughs for incoming DLC.

No DAI expansion at E3?
Not even mentioned once. It's been like what? 7 months since the release, and the game is removed from the top BWforum section. ME3 had lasted from 2012 (late 2011 may be?) and up to the DAI announce (2013, afair). Not to mention the amount of DLCs (SP/MP/free/paid).
Does not seem like supporting and marketing DAI is on their top priority list.

It's always seemed to me that ME is their "flagship" franchise. It's understandable, since ME probably does appeal to a wider audience because it's a shooter and everything, but I've always been a bit bitter about this since DA is much more important to me (and, in my humble opinion, a vastly superior series - as far as writing and the general implementation goes, at least - that deserves more attention).
