I don't understand whats so bad about $5... that's about the same as most meals at a fastfood place. and it's all extra/unnecessary stuff too...

for that price on GOG you can have a full game that leave a good impression and memories .

I didn't see the Spoils DLC any different from this:

http://masseffect.wi..._Member_Outfits

Those give different armor stats.  The Spoils DLC gives new armor and mounts, but doesn't have alt appearances for the party members.  I don't think there is any noticable difference, and anyone can take it or leave it.  I picked it up, because I liked the bear armor sets.

I've been equating it to the Item Packs for DA2. Those didn't wow me, so I probably won't ever get this, but I don't think Bioware is somehow morally wrong for releasing it, or for wanting to get paid for the work it entailed.

Did people even complain about those back then?

Unless it's more story content I'm not all that interested.

That Avvar pattern is really ugly.  None of my Inquisitor's want it, and no member of my Inquisition will be seen wearing it if they know what's good for them.

Plus I never use mounts anyway.   Nothing is better than Kirkwall's BEAST of a throne, and If it ain't Serault glass, it ain't NOTHIN'.

In short, there is nothing here I would ever want to use, so

Pass.

I did buy it, maybe help then to bring in a real DLC. But I have to agree with several of the posters here who have a negative impression. Unusual for me to admit that. Still I am one of those weird people that buy everything for a game I like even if I don't use the stuff. Yes I am an idiot.

You know, it's really interesting looking at the differences. CDPR doing dlc like this but for free. Their game has also only been out for less than a month and already it's on patch 5. Maybe BioWare should start looking into what they're doing.

I never understood the notion that some people think we would be interested in knowing whether they won't be buying a product. If you don't want it, don't buy it. What's the purpose of announcing it other than attention seeking?

No one's forcing you to read the posts but I guess you would like it more if this thread was full of "Wow $5 for a great item pack DLC I will buy it"

This isn't that type of forum mate

It has nothing to do with attention seeking (lol), OP posted that this new DLC has been released

Some are interested and some think that its lame
I don't see the problem with that

Yes, though people complaining about paid DLC is not exactly news - I'm fairly sure that there have been complaints about every paid DLC ever released by Bioware.

I've no problem with them trying to sell whatever they feel like as long as they are up front about the contents. And, just to let Jaron know, I won't be buying it.

I get that this is just another cash-grab item dlc, however making the theme of the items the same as the overpriced Avvar dlc was a bad PR move.

It makes everyone suspect that these things should have went with the avvar dlc, where they belong, and not just sold later as stand alone.

So Bioware, maybe if you really wanted the cash, release the item dlc and the story one at the same time? That would look less bad on you.

Please try to be more careful on the future, you have plenty of disgruntled fans as it is.

If there's any complaint I have about this pack is that it: Should have been bundled with Jaws of Hakkon or made $2 like their past packs

At this point, I think their refusal to do more hairstyles or Skyhold outfits has more to do with stubbornness than anything else. I wouldn't expect to see either... which is a shame, because they'd be enormously successful.

Agreed. I get the impression they take these criticisms too personally, and refuse to give us what a lot of people ask for because they're stubborn. You don't like these pajamas? Fine, you're stuck in them!

My lady elf looks good in the Stone-Bear armor (I wanted this specific armor from the time I saw the npcs with it), and my current male elf is rocking some crafted Avvar armor.   (The shirtless/mudstripe look definitely doesn't work for everyone, but depending on the specific inquisitor and/or headgear, it adds a certain type of character.  And it gives a little extra explanation to all the shocked looks a Dalish elf gets from snooty Orlesian nobles. :P  ) The decor is meeting my horrific statues with fur rugs aesthetic.   (Actually, I really like it because I liked the rugs that came with the Avvar decor in JoH, but it didn't mesh together that well.  The new ones have the rugs, but the statues are better.)  The bed is nice (thank the Maker there are pillows...too many beds in the game would look so much better with pillows), and the Avvar stained glass is probably my second favorite after the Serault glass.  And I'm one of those weird people who actually uses the mounts, so I'm happy on that front. (I take a long time with a single playthrough, so yes, I've run out of most banter and I have a mountain of resources...  Mounts mix things up a bit when I want to travel a map.  They're also just really cool.)

Yeah, the Stone-Bear armor does make male characters look like the coat kid from A Christmas Story, but it looks really nice on female chars.  The Avvar armor is the opposite, it looks better on male chars, imo.  It does alter Iron Bull's physique, which doesn't bother me that much, especially since I'm unlikely to use it on him anyway, but yeah.  Armor changing character bodyshape happens with other armors, so it isn't really a new thing.  If you have a male elf you want to look a little heftier, the Avvar armor is a new option.

It's called feedback, and that's good. If a lot of people don't want something, one would hope Bioware would make something more people want next.

I have the same problem. I bought it also.

The avvar armor and decor suits one of my Inquisitors though. I gave her pink stripes too. Yep.
