Its like they don't even care to keep up with them

16 free DLC from CDPR and instead doing something similiar they just say screw that lets have a silly item pack for $5

Hey, good for CDPR, but that kinda makes me wonder. How do they know there are going to be 16 free DLC? If BioWare made a claim like that, you know detractors would either harrumph and say that the content should have been there all along or they would accuse BioWare of deliberately holding the content back as a publicity stunt.

Me, I don't know how much of the DLC I'm ever going to use, apart from the windows, which I think are awesome. Sure, I would rather have a story DLC or some new hairstyles, but I did get a little thrill of excitement about some new toys in my favorite game, and that's worth $5 to me.

I am also one of those people who buys everything related to the games I love. Usually... I have to make an exception here though, partly because I don't think it's worth it, and partly because the content just doesn't interest me at all.

I bought every weapon pack for Mass Effect. They were all $2. They were fun and changed gameplay enough that it was easily worth it. I could buy 2 and a half of those instead of this.

I would like to see more armour in packs because I really only like the Grey Warden armours in DA:I, nothing else. These armours are really terrible though. I want each of my Inquisitors to have a unique look, but I can't really do that until they release an armour pack I like. Oh well, next time?

If they was gonna do a item pack it shouldve been a racial theme pack. Dalish, Qunari, and Dwarf decor. Armor sets for each race, Noble Armor for Trevelyan with coat of arms, Lavellan clan armor with there symbol, Cadash Family armor, and Valo-kas armor.

Whoever posted all those pictures of the Avvar DLC, Thank you so much.

You just saved me 5 bucks.  That is quite possibly the worst, laziest designed armor I have ever seen for any game.  I wouldn't have payed a dollar for that crap, much less five dollars. And if it was free, I wouldn't be incentivized to come back to playing Dragon Age Inquisition for it.   Sorry Bioware but you should have thought about releasing an extensive array of armors in the main game to begin with.  As it stands, I cannot pay more money for such pathetic looking armors as DLC.

... Please try to be more careful on the future, you have plenty of disgruntled fans as it is.

Imagine the upset then if they released a game that wasn't critically and financially successful.

How disgruntled would the 'fans' be then?  ;)

Because CDPR did exactly that. Its even more ridiculous since the game was pushed back and the content could have been easily included. But if they did include it, they would not be able to call it "free DLC".

Ugh - $20 NZD for Jaws of Hakkon (which I have not bought due to the price) and now $7 NZD for some cosmetic changes?

Yeah, it isn't news that EA likes to charge (overpriced amounts) for everything, but seriously, these cosmetic changes should have been in Jaws of Hakkon to start with.  Or, since it was apparently done after JoH was released, don't expect us to pay a 1/4 of the price of DLC for some new looking gear.

I am pretty sure they dont expect you to pay.
Isn it more like 1/3?

This should simply be bundled with JoH. If you own JoH, it's free. If not, and you don't want to get JoH, it's $5. That seems more fair, and might encourage more people to buy the more expensive DLC than otherwise.

Would not happen but I do agree with you Banshee. It would have been a nice touch on there part. Instead it feels like a old style EA money grab, not much money I admit but for whats on offer.....Meh?!?!

That last one really did happen to me playing Goldeneye.

The DA2 item packs were much better, armor and weapons for every class. This feels very half-assed and tacked on.

I'm really not understanding the hate coming from this thread. Just... don't... buy it? People are acting like microtransactions like this are new to the series. As I recall, both DA:O and DAII had them. Festerdays gifts, anyone?

Agreed. I don't see how any comments beyond "will buy" or "not interested, will not buy" are at all constructive.

Sooo should I remain silent if I don't like it? That's silly. We're expressing our views to let BW know this isn't something we're asking for. Sure, some posts are full of hate, but I can understand that- a lot of people were asking for a new hair/Skyhold outfit dlc for months and still nothing. Instead, we're getting dlc with useless stuff. Besides, It's about quality content. I don't mind cosmetic dlcs- I really liked DA2 cosmetic dlcs, but Spoils of Avvar is just lazy work. Reskins, some decor and really bad-looking armor from JoH. Thanks, I'll pass.

After this heavy criticism I hope they will make something worth buying.

I understand where you're coming from, but people are going to buy this and they know it. As I understand it, the DAII weapon packs sold very well. Only the people who are against it are really the vocals ones, so people who actually appreciate the content aren't ever fairly represented in niche conversations like this. Speaking like the entire community to offended by such content is incorrect.

I thought the Gifts pack was free?

...Did I really pay for those back then?

Two dollars, three if you bought the combo pack.

In fairness, they came with animation and seem fun so there's that to console you.

I think a Heroes of Dragon Age Pack would also be a cool idea. It can come with The Hero and Champion Armor and Weapon sets. Have some iconic weapons schematics our past heroes used like vigilance longsword and greatsword version, heartwood bow, Mantle of Champion, Hawke's Key all versions, Staff of Paralathan and maybe some unique Warden Armor inspired by the Hero of Fereldan etc. Just a cool throwback to our old protagonist.

That's fine and all, but that isn't the problem. I don't think any of us have a problem with aesthetic DLCs. Heck, a lot of complainers say they want one, just not this one. The problem is that the content of this pack is not what most people asked for (and I'm being generous, because I haven't seen anyone ask for these things).

Agreed. I don't see how any comments beyond "will buy" or "not interested, will not buy" are at all constructive.

How is detailing why you don't like the content of this pack, and detailing what you would like to buy in the future not constructive?

I understand where you're coming from, but people are going to buy this and they know it. As I understand it, the DAII weapon packs sold very well. People will buy this, yes, but I seriously doubt it will sell very well, and not as well as numerous other suggestions made by people here would. So if they want to make people happy, make money, or both, they should listen to us. Not only that, but the feedback for this pack has been overwhelmingly negative. Here, where a lot of the more avid fans who spend money on these things are, and on social media where more casual players less likely to buy these packs are, more than 90% of the comments I've read have been negative. One would hope that they take that into account. It would benefit everyone, so if they don't improve, they're just stubborn.
