Read every review on this site from people who have played ESO and they all say it blows chunks. So no, I don't think ESO is going to be a problem. I just want that patch to come out dammit -.-
After reading into ESO (again), I was reminded of a very important reason why I never bothered with it before. ESO is an MMO, which indicates lots of content geared towards group play, right? Well, it turns out that there's a decent bit of single-player only content as well. And with the heavy use of phasing, if you are even remotely out of sync with friends' or party members' quest progress, guess what? You're either going to have little interaction with your buddy or their enemies, or none at all.
ESO takes a bit of the MMO out of itself, despite being built as one. Doesn't make much sense, now does it? The Old Republic allowed friends to come along during class specific quests (in other words, the single-player content like in ESO), so ESO took a huge step back in that regard and basically shot itself in the foot as far as I'm concerned. My level of interest in ESO has been reconfirmed as nonexistent.

I was in the pool! I was in the pool!
I now understand why XBL recommends you as a broadcaster rather than a poet, my dear friend.
I was saving your point to really kick the ESO fanboys in the balls. After reading into ESO (again), I was reminded of a very important reason why I never bothered with it before. If you are one SINGLE STEP out of quest sync with your friends you'll never be able to play with them again. Even resetting quests doesn't usually re-instance you properly to sync with them.
Later in if you take a new, different quest together later, you can re-sync.
I spent roughly 70/100 hours out of quest sync with my friends and complete unable to play with them.
LET ALONE EVEN SEE THEM!!!! (Quest de-syncing causes players on different steps of the same quest to become invisible to each other in the entirety of the instances areas.
This one problem was the worst out of all the problems. It makes ESO a game where you can play an MMO, but instead of playing with your friends you can only play with gold farming boys.
This is actually very valuable information and I thank you for it.
I was only partially interested in ESO because, well, Elder Scrolls. But something as bad as that just saved me the waste of money.
I feel safer knowing I can continue binging on DAIMP and Fallout replays and know I am missing out on nothing as far as ESO is concerned.
DLC release of DAI MP is way to slow. It feels like 3 man are working on DAI MP and one of them is Luke ....
ME3 had way more DLC's in the first months and it was amazing. I lost hope, that DAI MP will ever attract more players then those playing atm. The playerbase will go down even more.
The project had a very low priority from the start.
I feel sorry for those who spend RL money at the start expecting many free DLC's like in ME3. ![]()
OK so ESO just came out and ... man I have noticed a marked drop..... DA;I stud up to evolve and smacked it down, the witcher 3... oh no DA:I MP not going no where..!!!! ESO....Hard blow... so whats the Dragon age team going to do about it?!?!?
I hear rumors of a new DLC Beta...but if that's true...is it good enough to stand up against ESO... ?
what are your thoughts on the future of DAMP as of Now?
DAIMP Potentially Killers(ROFLMAO):
ESO - sucks
Witcher 3 - Good game, but no MP
GTA5 - Uninstalled after finishing, Sucky MP, only hyperactive spoiled kids like it.
Bllodborne - Whut?
Battlefield Hardline - LOL APB Reloaded Bad Clone!
Medallian
Your comparing apples to organs so to speak. ESO is a MMO game made for on-line and sold for on-line play.
isn't Adam's Apple an organ?
*hides*

Read my review, ESO already fell hard and wont lift up even with Viagra.
Who plays MMO's on console? Did Phantasy Star teach us nothing?
Wait... You just not..... I did ...well... ![]()

You are so mean!

Did you pay anything outside beta? Never had that much problems, friends could catch up in the quest chains (mostly).I was saving your point to really kick the ESO fanboys in the balls.

I noticed a few of the PS4 top 10 were actually playing ESO, I don't think I've seen Lars playing anything other than DAMP since...well ever.

Apples, Organs they are all the same...they are non-plastic! ![]()
I noticed you said mostly.Did you pay anything outside beta? Never had that much problems, friends could catch up in the quest chains (mostly).
It's a better game than it was at launch, but can you really say it actually succeeds as an MMO? Or as a real Scrolls game? It did entertain me for 100 hours or so though. But I doubt most gamers will hang their hat on ESO. Better MMOs will release, as will better Scrolls or RPG games in general. Youd be better off playing FF14 for your MMO fix and Fallout 4/ Skyrim 2 for your RPG fix when they release.
I want to continue to play DAI MP but i can harldy get 2 matches in before i DC or have a random bug like no UI or the forever loading screen one Etc Etc Etc.... so if they want people to stick around they are going to have to fix these things.
I mean i just played one and a half matches and had to manualy close the program because it was stuck, so i thought i would come here and look around. I will get back on the game in a moment but right now im just "meh" about it.

Sorry that you are having such trouble simply trying to play the game. I've haven't had too much trouble with DAMP on the Xbone, so I'm happy enough with it.
