I remember asari get face paint which is totally unfair when everyone else shows no visible difference
Yeah. Turians at least should get some too. Though it's actually the pattern color that gives the paint, not the skin color.

This is one of those topics that needs one of those "Wat" images, right?
Here, this one should do nicely:

Since I'm Asian, I try to make my characters as pale as possibru. This, and also the armor has to be as bright and shiny as possible (often times, fluorescent green or pink). That way, my character is so bright that it makes all the other characters and the enemies squint when they look at me, and I feel at home.
You disgust me with your racism of your own people! Not all asians are pale. You never heard of Vietnamese or Filipinos?! The only pale ones are the ones who sit at home waiting for their husbands to come home so they can cook for them and rub their feet. And its possible not possibru! Speak Engrish!
Also, I can no longer like your posts because of this new information.

And your reading comprehension and intolerance of others' typed accents disgust me, sir! Ptooey!
I never mentioned that my character resembled an Asian (with a capital "A", mind you. It seems you do not think highry enough to capitarize retter for our lace). The reasoning behind my character being so blindingly pale (more like irish than Asian, really), is to make OTHERS ROOK ASIAN!
Anyway, even if I was excluding Vietnamese or Filipinos, I was only taking about real Asians, not mudbloods.

I especially care about the skin tone of Quarians
Kind of amusing with Asari, but otherwise never really did anything with it

If the tones were more noticeable i would care, like that literally coal-black Vorcha in Omega DLC. As it stands now however it is like a 2/10.
Does anyone use flat colors for primary or do you go metallic? (Black primary with colored highlight) I tend to go metallic in most cases, I like the shiny
Depends on the effect im going for. On most kits Black Primary with a Neon Highlight looks way better than a Neon Primary. Some themes require it as well: Geth Troopers, Alliance Marines, CAT6 Heavies, Talon Gang, etc

Now that I think on it- I always make all human characters in every game I play as pale as possibru, bc I'm also Asian and very pale. So yeah.

Changing the skin tone is probably the most useless unlock of all the character upgrades. I can barely tell the difference when I change skin tone.

I care about as much about my characters' skin tone as I do about real people's skin tones.
In other words, a lot. I usually have my mind made up about how good a character is based on his/her skin tone before I even try playing with that character.
Kidding!
