Well you see, there's a difference between judging and not giving a crap.

I don't judge anyone. Live and let live and all that. That said, I don't feel the need to learn how to address "correctly" (according to who?) every individual that thinks that they are a special snowflake.

And there's a difference between stating that your own mindset is the status quo which all people must follow and not giving a crap as well.

"Gender is the range of characteristics pertaining to, and differentiating between, masculinity and femininity." - google

And that in no way translates to "gender = societal". It is demonstrably false that gender is a societal construct given what we know of how fetuses develop. A female fetus that has been exposed to more testosterone in the womb will develop to be more masculine by default. Ditto for a male fetus exposed to more estrogen.

In addition to this, it's fairly easily observable through normal interaction that it's not something that is entirely built by society. Have you ever heard of David Reimer? Long story short, he was a boy who underwent a botched circumcision as an infant, resulting in the loss of his genitalia. The doctor in charge of the operation pumped David full of chemicals and effectively re-educated him into thinking he was a girl, only David continued to identify as a boy his entire life up until the end of his life when he committed suicide.

Gender ROLES, on the other hand, are made up by people, though those do have a clear basis from evolutionary necessity.

Actually, Society and language play a very large role in defining gender stereotypes. Biology plays a role as well, But it's not as vital.

Ehh, I don't mind it. Assuming it's not completely botched like David Reimer's, it's really just cosmetic. Speaking from personal experience, uncut vs. cut doesn't really make that much a difference in terms of sensation (if any noticeable difference at all), though I very well could be the exception to the rule, so I won't count my experience as the norm.

If I ever have a son, I wouldn't force it on him as an infant, though I wouldn't mind if he elected to have it done. He can take responsibility for his actions.

Err no, when it comes to gender and sex, biology is the basis for nearly everything we do, because gender and sex are so deeply rooted into the human genome, and they have far-reaching effects that affect people over the course of their entire lives.

You see, That's the problem, You see things form an objective point of view while the thing is, There's no status quo. Things differ completely from one person to another. For example, Some people are more defined by the gender they're born with and are comfortable with the gender role society has for them. Some people are not. It's a complicated and a long debate in history, But the conclusion is that there's no set objective or status quo.

cant we all agree that cutting your junk is a bad thing? If razerblades to the balls make you cringe, why is this so accepted? I demand better rights for boys and men! This is an outrage!

So my problem is that I see things where they are based on factual information? In what capacity could that ever be a bad thing? Would you rather I lie to you and give you the WRONG information?

Gender =/= Gender roles. How you managed to read my last post and still conflate the two is beyond me. I literally said that gender roles are borne of society, though they do have roots in evolution. The rest of your post has nothing at all to do with anything I said.

Well, yeah, I would never advocate the choice to be taken away from anyone. The only time I would really step in and stop someone is when whatever they're doing is demonstrably harmful and has no real tangible benefits. I.E. if one of my friends were a heavy speed freak, I would step in and stop that **** right there.

Exactly.  I'm a polyamerous one armed squid, but I identify as a cross dressing black lesbian other-kin xir thingy.

Society has oppressed us squid people for so long, it's a refreshing to see that society has finally accepted that we can be anything that we want to be.

Tomorrow...

Actually, No, There has been several studies about cultures that didn't develop male and female stereotypes and they all acted gender-neutrally. What i was trying to say is that not in all cases can evolution, Or "Sex" define your characteristics. That the whole thing works in a case-by-case basis, Not by a collective basis.

define "gender-neutrality". I think you'll find yourself describing people not acting on gender norms and gender roles instead.
