Actually, No, There has been several studies about cultures that didn't develop male and female stereotypes and they all acted gender-neutrally. What i was trying to say is that not in all cases can evolution, Or "Sex" define your characteristics. That the whole thing works in a case-by-case basis, Not by a collective basis.

Bro, do you even lift read?

Gender =/= Gender roles. How you managed to read my last post and still conflate the two is beyond me. I literally said that gender roles are borne of society, though they do have roots in evolution. The rest of your post has nothing at all to do with anything I said.

define "gender-neutrality". I think you'll find yourself describing people not acting on gender norms and gender roles instead.

What "People" consider to be normal. There's no objective normality. But that's another long subject.

Dude, I get what you're saying, You are the one who actually need to read my post, I was criticizing the matter that you're thinking objectively instead of subjectively about the matter.

No, There is. The liberation from society norms about gender. That's gender neutrality. People tend to confuse the state of being physically real, And emotionally real. When i said that there's no objective normality, I meant to say that what people consider to be normal is merely a society idea, It's not something that's real,  objective or acceptable for all.

Yes, because I'm making the case that gender is not a societal construct, and that gender can be demonstrated in human biology and evolution, and that gender can be observed.

HOW ELSE WILL I SPEAK OF IT, IF NOT OBJECTIVELY? THIS IS NOT A TOPIC OF OPINION, I AM STATING FACTS.

"Maria Lugones observes that among the Yoruba people there was no concept of gender and no gender system whatsoever before colonialism. She argues that colonial powers used a gender system as a tool for domination and fundamentally changing social relations among the indigenous" - Wikipedia

That's just one of the many examples.

Caps Lock doesn't make your opinion more valid.

Gender is a social construct. Look up Victor of Aveyron.

And I'm saying that you're speaking of a specific portion of people and not all people have the same mindset. Therefore, You can't put a status quo.

What I'm stating is that nature and evolution does not define all people. For example, I was born a male with a perfectly healthy genital, And yet, Sex does not interest me for some reason. What I'm stating is that we shouldn't not jump to conclusions, And we should not judge what we don't fully understand yet. And we should not set a status quo.

On a side note, I think Bunz is doing a pretty good job on this thread and his posts were rather intelligent.

What are you talking about?

I never said anything about a status quo. You're sounding like a madman.

You've ignored close to every single thing I've said to you (and you do it pretty regularly), so I'm just going to ignore the rest of your posts. You clearly can't follow the topic at hand.

Gender is the characteristics that a culture believes a sex should have. These individual traits can be called gender roles, but they, ultimately, form a gender.

Therefor,

Gender is mental.
