I'm hoping the CG is improved somewhat from the earlier version... ![]()
:') It's finally happening. Really unsure how I feel about Megabyte returning only because you can never match the wonder of Tony Jay's vocal cords but hell, I'll just run with it.
You remember it a lot better than I do! ![]()
I really only saw a few episodes here and there, though, so I only had a vague concept of the story and characters.
I only made the thread because the title pretty much wrote itself. ![]()
Ohhh I absolutely adored the series growing up to be honest. Had the boxset a few years back but alas, moving changed that. I've been thinking about giving the original series a go again at some point, even if I worry about nostalgia goggles and all that. ![]()
Oh yeah i hope Modem and Nully return too.

I have suffered some noteworthy disappointments caused by nostalgia goggles.
There seems to be a line hovering very close to the separation between shows made in the eighties and shows made in the nineties (I refer to this as "The Simpsons line," although I have never determined its exact timing) before which the odds of nostalgia goggles creating disappointment increase significantly.
I hope they at least show how the original series was resolved since it ended on a cliffhanger with MegaByte in control of Mainframe. Also wonder how Hack and Slash will be as they did join the good guys in the later end of the series after Megabyte pretty much tossed them but the article implies they are villains again..... unless the writer just didn't bother to watch the end half of the series.
Reboot is probably my favorite show of all time. Unfortunately I can't really bring myself to get excited about this. It's almost impossible for me to imagine they could actually successfully recapture the magic. I think the way that show turned out as good as it did was due to a collection of circumstances that just aren't the case any longer.

I must have missed that. The last episode I remember involved Hex sacrificing herself to defeat Daemon.
On another note I really hope Hexadecimal is back. She's one of my favorite villains to date right up there with Xellos from Slayers. Though she did do a lot more to antagonize the heroes then Xellos tended to. It's nice to have a villain that the hero can't just punch out though but must outwit and even make use of her own insanity to. Well I'm not sure what the right word is. I recall one episode were Hex was turning all of main frame into stone so Bob went to confront her. In the end he pointed out to her how she'd created a static world which as a being of chaos she was entirely against. After a brief freak out she snaps her fingers and changes everything back while smiling. Does that count as a defeat?
Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss ![]()
Reboot was like the best thing ever as a kid.
One of my favourite shows as a kid. I still remember that damn cliffhanger ending.
"Welcome to Megaframe!"
I kind of just want some sort of resolution to that.
I think I have the DVD box sets around here somewhere. Maybe I'll bust them out and binge watch the series.

Actually the last words of the original show were "Prepare yourselves... for the hunt."
I personally don't want them to touch the old show. I'd already kind of made my peace with the tragedy of the original ReBoot ending on a mostly fitting note, then being brought back to end of a cliffhanger. Attempting to connect the old show with the new probably would just taint my old memories a little.

There was a movie(s?) that got converted into TV episodes after that. One for sure was called "My Two Bobs" were a second Bob was found in the Web after Daemon's defeat, that led into Megabyte's return which ended with Megabyte starting "The Hunt" but that is were the original series ended.
Ugh I hope this is good.
And actually, given how computer worlds world in Reboot, they *could* address the original series, at some point, in a roundabout way. Would be a cool way of answering WTF happened after the cliffhanger.
Have people read how they're rebooting it?
Teenagers with attitude get digitized and fight crime.
...yeah it's gonna suck. It sounds more like a TRON reboot, except way, way dumber.
Dot was hot! Especially when she added those librarian glasses.

This^ > Power TRON Rangers (I should probably stop insulting TRON by drawing that comparison as well)
