What is your opinion on this section of the industry? Do you like the products? Do you like what they are doing? Do you think it is pretentious 'art?' I would like to know!
Please don't let this devolve into a gamergate thread.

Are there are any examples? I don't know what is meant?
When I first bought the PS3, I got fl0w (and later Flower), which were considered kind of artsy, indie affairs. I liked them. I don't know about any subcultures though. If there is one, I probably wouldn't like them. I don't like Hipsters or any elitists in general. Especially when they're just fans (of bands, film, etc) who don't even create the stuff.

I actually think I might have a tiny inkling what it's about, tho'.
I call that "creative spelling."
They are but just prey for the great sterling, son.

I remember when he made the news. I don't know the details though... nor did any of it sound interesting.

On anyone else, his facial hair would be known as pubes.
That is all.

Well there's a perfect example of a member apart of the holier than thou hipster game scene.
I find most indie games to be boring and too short. I know they are trying something new, and they have a small crew. Over all though, their games are too short and lack luster. I prefer the AAA title and game companies because the combat, story, graphics, and length are generally better.
I heard something about the indie clique fuming at Steam for allowing refunds. If true this is good.
I don't look at indie games any differently than the rest of the industry. Only games I like and games I don't. Whether they're AAA or Indie, it doesn't matter.

Yep, some of my favorite games over the last 5 years have been indie games.
"If you go and you eat a steak, if you pay $100 for a steak that tastes like the best steak you've ever had in your life but it's only 200 grams versus paying the same price for the worst steak you could want--but it's all-you-can-eat," he said. "There's an argument to be made that one is better than the other depending on who you are. If you just want to be full all the time then all-you-can-eat terrible steak, maybe that's for you?"
Have any indie devs gone so far as to compare their product to a steak like the Order 1886?

I think it's cute that they think you can get a steak that qualifies as one of the best ever for $100.
I like hipsters personally.
You know I'd tell you folks what indie games I like and buck this trend of pretentious hipster games....But you've probably never heard of them.
I don't really know why people assume indie game developers are pretentious or something either, they're just obviously unhappy with the state of games development and make their own, there is nothing pretentious about that, in fact it means we get to play more games.
I thought the harassment that guy Mr. Fish suffered was awful really.
