If they can carry their weight or play a shield monkey, it's fine.

I agree OP. Pisses me off as well. Lvl 1s are worthless in pug perilous. I dont care how many promotions one has, can't overcome the lack of certain passives.

No they can't. Even vitruso is useless in level 1. If you played with friends and they are ok with it, that's a different story.

Keeper and Virtuoso are useful even on level 1.

Keeper, Katari n Lego are all fine at lvl 1 on Perilous when you have BiS gear and many hours practice.
The trick is to stay out of harms way and use your abilities to assist the team, not yourself.
Personally I only do this with friends and PuG threatening for the first run after promoting when they're not around.
Would I kick if a lvl 1 joined my peri run? No

I have actually carried a team with a lvl 1 Duelist on FC and finished with Immortal medal. Room camped, kept elusive maxed and used it to tank when reviving.

You made a very fair point. However, very few people in Pug are able to do it and most of the players can't carry a level 1 character. Even if they do, that will be a bloody fight.
Keeper and Virtuoso are useful even on level 1.
Virtuoso can't keep up barrier in level 1 even with potion. They are useful in very limited degree. They would get instant killed if they don't have superb health belt or high promotion.

I join as a 1 all the time. If I am not kicked I usually end up with the most xp gained, so at the top of the list at the end

For those who claimed to finish a perilous match as a level 1 character in Pug, please share the result picture after a match. I will be really surprise to see any of you are not in the bottom of the exp list.

I bring my level 1 to Perilous pugs sometimes, and usually do better than those that bring their level 20's. (please promote that 20)
Honestly, levels have nothing vs a level 1 with hundreds of promoted stats and Dragon Weapons and a load of Unique Accessories. Please stop complaining and judging before you see how the game goes. Maybe that level 1 with the banner you've never seen before might surprise you.

The worst is when someone brings a lvl 1 assassin/alchemist/or as AW and they don't communicate or let people in the group know before the match starts or its in progress what their intentions are. Have some respect for people who actually put time into the game who have leveled up their classes with abilities from the start, and let them know beforehand.

It is my third times to encounter a level 1 character in a perilous game today. It really pissed me off. These people are essentially sabotage the entire team and expected to be rewarded by exp. What suprieses me is that no one in the match try to kick those character except me. What would you guys do if you see those people?
It depends. Experienced players with a lot of promotes--leaderboard types--can get away with it fairly easily. I myself prefer to bring kits like assassin, elementalist, or keeper at lvl 1. Assassin's can stealth out and get stabs in when needed, elementalists can freeze baddies at choice times, and keepers can provide emergency barriers. You'll rarely ever see a sizeable contribution on the scoreboard from a level 1, but they can help in ways that higher-level characters don't.
For example: unless they're totally stupid, they shouldn't be wading into the thick of battle and getting killed like a lot of higher level characters will do. They can smash pots, revive people, and provide emergency support to other team members. They can also hang back and throw pitch grenades and heal bombs when the moment is necessary, something people engaged in combat might not be able to do or might forget to do.
It's all a matter of perspective. But if it bothers you that much, why don't you make some friends and play in private lobbies?

Highly effective when played right by a lvl 1.
I start my Archer off with Bow of the Dragon, SHoK ring and Caltrops ring.
Can solo first couple zones of threatening and happily contribute in perilous

I always make my own lobby, or join private lobbies. If I host, and you don't like me playing lvl 1 (Can usually carry anyway), then just leave.

No matter how many promotions or how good your gear is, you are a liability to the team on perilous if you are level 1. You don't have the abilities needed to do damage, which is a huge part of surviving perilous runs.
Essentially it's ignorant to expect random strangers to carry you if you do this, and I will kick you if you try it.
However, in a strong team, if someone mics in and asks if they can bring a level one and isn't being a jerk about it, I am prepared to give it a go if they have shown themselves to be a decently skilled player previously.
