Meh it's one game every now and then, you help someone with 100 odd promotions one game and they help you out the other 5 until they promote again. I don't see the problem so long as the group can handle it.
Level 1 character in perilous PUG

For those who claimed to finish a perilous match as a level 1 character in Pug, please share the result picture after a match. I will be really surprise to see any of you are not in the bottom of the exp list.
Who cares if they are in the bottom? Somebody is going to be at the bottom. I find that Isabella is pretty damn decent as a lev 1 & I've done pretty well w her as a 1 in perilous. If there is a virtuoso in the group, a lev 1 should be fine as well...if they play smart (which most don't). Even if you end up last in XP, finishing the match is still a success.
I generally don't join a PUG off the bat as a 1, but maybe if we complete a match, I'll switch. Only time I try to boot immediately is if I see a dude as a 1 with no rune on their weapon. You gotta be better than that!

The main issue I have with it is that it's just rude expecting to be carried on a perilous PUG.
Helping a pal out then switching roles is a great way to do it, I've done this myself but only when it is me or a friend that is the host.
I've seen players high up on the 360 leader boards do perilous with a level 1 and die, expecting to be carried. It's annoying, it's rude and it's a rare player who can contribute to the success of the team at level 1, and not just go and hide trying not to die.

This is for all the self entitled players on here who happen to read this, do not bring a lvl 1 believing you are contributing by collecting pots because it isn't. I can't believe anyone would think this is a contribution to the highest difficulty bioware incorporated into damp. It's equivalent of showing up to a random VIP party dressed in scrubs believing you don't need to conform to the attire, and no your not that good or important to be leeching.
And for the great players who do carry random perilous pugs at paltry lvl 1, please do record yourself the next time you attempt such monumental feats because really like to see you carrying a whole group of randoms.
I'm surprised that this thread has people disagreeing with what the op is stating and making a dim witted argument over bringing lvl 1's into pugs when everyone knows pugs are the worst environment to bring under leveled classes into.

Frankly, not many players can handle bringing in a lvl 1 kit straight into perilous and that may be a blow to one's ego that they have to downgrade their difficulty for 10-15 minutes to threatening, but you are taking a risk when you bring some lvl 1aw/assassin/alchemist, etc into a random perilous pug. If you truly believe a lvl 1 assassin is contributing by collecting pots and throwing down jar of bees out of stealth most of the time while hiding in front rooms that to me is dead weight, and efforts could be spent actually taking out priority targets like a decent assassin should be.

Leeching on the other hand I can't stand, I know people who do nothing but leech and talk about how good they are all day because they're high on the leaderboards. Don't play with them anymore.

What's ridiculous is that you consider carrying to being wiped in zone 2 with a lvl 1 in perilous pugs, it's equivalent to saying you soloed successfully but never even made it to extraction. There's a big difference in carrying and wiping please learn the difference because you sound like a xp moocher.

I'd take a lvl 1 anything with 50+ in each stat over a dinky perma-level 20 any day. There must be a lot of folks with insufficient promotes trying to get carried in perilous matches to create this amount of butthurt and disbelief. However, there are a good many that DO have the promotes and experience to do well and better than most still at lvl 1. Next time you see one, don't count them out automatically. You should be able to tell pretty quickly whether they can handle themselves or not. Keep an open mind and you may unexpectedly make friends with a powerful new ally.
So your saying a lvl 1 AW without fade shield can survive a barrage of arrows in perilous when his random perilous pug mates are down? Please post a vid because I have yet to see anyone pull that off. Looks like i struck a nerve with a lot of backseat gaming bsners in this thread. I'm being blunt when I say most of you don't play or don't experience the worst of the worst in pugs otherwise we wouldn't be even discussing how ridiculous bringing a level 1 into pug perilous is.

I don't have much positive things to say to people who don't back up what they claim with actual proof, you know evidence? It's what people out in the world do when they state facts rather than mindless drivel. Your definition of carrying pugs is having friends back you up while you smash pots for the team, I can see why your ranked 3 on psn.

I've seem plenty of players do well in private groups at level 1. And I've personally carried threatening PUGs at lvl 1. It's not out of the realm of possibility to me to imagine a player with 200+ promotions doing the same in perilous.
Using the lvl 1 arcane warrior is a pretty bad example. But I could see it happening with a katari or duelist, etc.

Demanding randoms to play a certain way as some loner trolling quick matches is just an exercise in frustration. They bought the game too, they have the right to play to play it as they choose. If you demand standards, play private lobbys with friends or open lobbies one of you is hosting and boot as you choose.
I defended randoms.... I feel dirty.

I have actually carried a team with a lvl 1 Duelist on FC and finished with Immortal medal. Room camped, kept elusive maxed and used it to tank when reviving.
Keeper, Katari n Lego are all fine at lvl 1 on Perilous when you have BiS gear and many hours practice.
The trick is to stay out of harms way and use your abilities to assist the team, not yourself.
Personally I only do this with friends and PuG threatening for the first run after promoting when they're not around.
Would I kick if a lvl 1 joined my peri run? No
