Hey you forgot to mention the 150 promotions that you have because that or moddding is the only real way a level one could clutch perilous like that.1 shot from full draw is 1420 DMG on perilous. So where on the leaderboards are you? Must be top 10.

I personally ask him or her how many promotions they have or what there dragon age score is and if its in the 600 - 700 range. I let them stay no complaint. I met one of my leaderboard friends that way his level 1 clutched our level 19's through perilous. If they are low I warn them to stay close.

Top 10 is 875+ (PS3) dependent on platform, PS4 much higher. Take out max of 600 (roughly for all challenges as guesstimate)so you looking at 275 promotes or more minimum

150 promotes if even across classes would be 60/60/60. That's not exactly unattainable.

Based on Drake's replies I'm going to take a stab and say he's about 18 years old tops with stats around 20 each... Maybe. Stay mad if you want bro; you'll understand one day when you're older/have some more promotes :)

For whoever talked sh*t about being pot beotch, I want you to know I have at least 3 standing invitations to be pot beotch. Lvl 1 or not. It helps I can solo all guardians as well. Lvl 1 or not ;)

Some people can 3 man speed run faster than a 4 player team, as long as they have a gold moppet. And I get Big Bird with the best of 'em son. I'm like a leprechaun on that pot son. Every Huey, Duey, and Louie need their Scrooge McDuck son!

Keep in mind that once you have 24/34/20 your lvl1 Katari has the same +atk%, +crit%, +melee defense% and +HP as the passives for being level 20 (give or take build). The only thing you have to worry about is missing actives and the primary effects of said passives. But really, if you have a highly or moderately promoted lvl 1 with good gear and pit them against a lvl 20 with 10/10/10 and mediocre or sub optimal gear, the lvl1 would win.

That said, its likely that the OP would not have started the thread if they ran into spaceV3gan in a pug at lvl1 and did great. Obviously it comes down to knowing your strengths and if you aren't at the point where you know you can contribute as a lvl1, I can agree it's bad form to make others you don't know have to carry you.

Seriously, lmao at the butthurt in this thread, particularly the assumptions made about Barak. He probably contributes as much, or more, to the PS3 PUG community than any other single player. Kicking him from your lobby because he's on a lv 1 is definitely your loss.

I think some folks just get angry because their never promoted 20th AW might be outscored by a 1st level toon.

Don't worry, be happy.

If I encounter a level 1 character who can kill and not be a burden for the team in perilous, I won't start the thread. All the level 1 character I encounter literally kill nothing for the entire match. Just think about the chance that a leaderborad player happens to join the same Pugs.

Sometimes I wonder if BW team decides to lift region lock for some people, but engages a lock on the quality of other players they can connect to at the extremely low to nonexistent level.

Maybe that is your problem. Report it as a bug to the dev team.

So your saying a lvl 1 AW without fade shield can survive a barrage of arrows in perilous when his random perilous pug mates are down?

So now you put the blame of a failed team to the lv 1 guy?

this is why i hate pugs, they all expect to be carried.

A lvl 1 AW with 100-120 cunning and 20% ranged resist from equips can definitely handle a hail of arrows. But that AW would have better positioned themself in the first place to revive those PUGs using a corner to avoid taking any damage

When i play lv 1 AW, i stay vigilant, out of the way, CL doesn't need direct point of vision to work and be effective. You should not attack first, be diligent, be the chore guy (pick up the gold, revive fallen teammates), do not die needlessly, last but not least, stay in the back.

The first time i played a lv 1 on Peri was like 3 months ago, i played my Necro for fun, and ended doing great, of course, i had to jump around like frog, but i didn't fall once. That's the reason why i say that the game is about "how you move" not how strong you are.

These ppl who plays a lv 1 and think they are RAMBO should be kicked on sight.

RAMBO mode should be unlocked only after 100 promotes.

I couldn't agree more. I didn't figure out until recently that you can time your movements and jumps to pretty much get missed by 50% of attacks. Archers will calculate where you will be shortly before loosing the arrow. So if you jump just before they shoot they will calculate that you will be 25ft up in the air given your trajectory at that moment that they calculated it. Its as if they don't realize that gravity exists. Try it out sometime, its pretty hilarious to juke archers into shooting way up in the air.

To some, Perilous has become the new threatening.  I"m not quite there yet, but getting close.  Most people do this in actual groups.  For the most part, they take turns playing the "carry" role.  I don't think it's the best idea to do it in PUGs, but there are exceptions.

I still find it amusing that people kick lvl 1's out of threatening.  It's worth giving people a chance and figuring out if they are truly kick worthy before doing so.  You may find someone that would be good to have on your friends list.  Because many people have a ton of promotions, this concept should be applied to Perilous as well.  That being said, I would limit it to people on the top 30 or so on the leader boards for now.

Now...  as Vegan said, Katari is completely doable at lvl 1 in perilous; even for me.

Try this at your own risk when you aren't host though. I do love sidestepping those archers' arrows by two steps on my archer and loosing my exploding wrath.

I agree there's a difference between bringing a level 1 in a pub vs private match. I also understand how big of a difference there is between the common pug and the experienced player. So to me it's still a matter of perspective.

What get's me though, is that people are still trying to kick level 1's out of threatening.

Hey, ran into you last night.  IIRC, you rang the gong because we hadn't booted you as a level 1.  Of course that was Threatening and not Perilous, but thanks.

Multiplayer needs to have more options added for the host.

The host should be allowed to set level restrictions, and have the right to kick people without votes (up until a certain point; you shouldn't be allowed to non-vote kick them if they have been in the game for awhile.)

If you're not the host and you don't agree with the options selected by the host, you can make your own game. This is how many multiplayer games have always operated (and should.) It works.

I'm on PS4 and have no idea if modding even exists here.
I have exactly 104 promotions.
I use Dragon dagger, Audacity, SHoK & SCDam rings, Stamulet, all BiS.
Archers do 0 vs Elusive.

This may help explain how I carry.

However after reading all this thread it has become quite clear to me that joining a random peri game with a lvl 1 is considered rude no matter your rank and I will no longer be doing this.

Thanks for the discussion BSNers ;)

I can completely understand OP's sentiment.

That said, some of you may not realize just how much promotions can trivialize perilous.

I know a group that regularly runs 4 level 1's in perilous and clears it 100% of the time. This means each person can carry his/her own weight at level 1. When not playing together, sometimes they pug and you may encounter them out in the wild  ;)
