If Mass Effect has a reveal trailer at E3 will it be an in game gameplay trailer or a cinematic trailer that is either CGI or live action?

Here is one idea.

This trailer could be like this.

Bioware logo then Mass Effect 1 elevator music is heard.

We are on an elevator on the Citadel. Circa 2185 or 2186. We catch a glimpse of the hero's uniform. We see the N7 symbol and the Star of Terra on the uniform. Face not shown to respect player gender choice.

If during the Reaper war the Citadel streets are crowded with refugees and wounded council soldiers on their way to hospitals.

Our character gets to a secret room on the Citadel tower. Inside are top Council leaders. The Asari Councilor gives a briefing. She says the Council is losing the war. The Reapers can't be defeated by conventional means. She mentions the current status of the war and Shepard's missions like Sur'Kesh or Tuchanka. At the end of the briefing she says you have been chosen to lead a top secret mission on a experimental ship codenamed Tempest.

What do you think the trailer will be like?

I personally think that if we see something about ME:Next it will be a cinematic trailer with a good look of the Hero/Heroine and in-engine environments, and maybe more Mako.  I hoping that it will address the leak and details on the plot.

There are already several threads about ME4 at E3.

I would love it if during EA's conference the room goes completely silent for a minute, only for Citadel elevator music to be heard. We'd all be flipping out lol. Sometimes the most epic things are the ones that are played down. F triumphant instrumental, go elevator music.

Everyone knows EA and BioWare will be at E3 and there's a 98% chance ME4 will be shown at E3... Considering the Devs have taken to twitter and bragged about level design and how pretty the game looks and stuff...

From where people gets the idea that the next game take place in shepard's life time?

"there is too much room for interpretation in the opinions of others"

About the topic a gameplay trailer showing some new aspects, companions, locations and a little of the story, maybe release date.

That Mako gameplay is so awesome! Everytime I watch it, the hype just keeps rising!

The mako doesn't have a canon which kind of concerns me...  Sure vehicle combat in ME1 was clunky...  Just moving back and forth and turn the cannon to a 90 degree angle... Then just fire rockets off cooldown and spam the turret.

I want vehicle combat in ME4 as well..  But the Mako does look much better and looks like it responds better to the terrain..

Heh, kinda funny that the Mako in ME1 could barely climb up a bunny hill but can easily climb up a mountains cliff...

There could be two versions. Didn't DAI have two trailers at E3 2014? One at the Xbox One conference and another at EA's conference?

No way we get anything that extensive until we're a lot closer to release.

We have no idea when the game is going to be released. They waited a very long time before they started promoting Inquisition, which was a concerted effort that seems to have worked out for the game's sales. ME4 could come out early 2016 or even late 2015 for all we know. Officially announcing the game, dropping a title, trailer and close release date all at the same time at E3 could get them a crapload of press and pre-orders. Such a bold move would probably warrant a lengthy reveal at the EA press conference, building even more excitement if they handle it correctly. And I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility at all. This game that practically nothing is known about and people aren't expecting to release for a year or more comes out guns blazing and steals the show.

"We're announcing Mass Effect:Andromeda. It follows the story of blah blah blah"
-cue cinematic trailer with tons of action and Mass Effect-y music and visuals-
"Here are two of the developers to give you a demo of the conversation and combat systems..."
-cue 5 or 6 minutes of awesome gameplay-

"And Mass Effect:Andromeda will bring back PvE multiplayer, bigger and better than ever, with more maps, larger maps, more weapons and gear, more enemies, and more game modes."

-cue short trailer of multiplayer-
"And Mass Effect:Andromeda will be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC on December 1st... 2015."
-cue title screen with system information and release date, followed by a short video of the PC in cool armor and using cool weapons-
"Pre-order now to unlock the Explorer item pack."

No argument here. That all makes sense if we really are less than a year from release.

Nope. EA would have to include a big AAA-release like ME in their financial statement. They didn't.

Mirror's Edge is EA's game for Q1 2016.

EA mentioned releasing as yet unannounced games, so they are covered as far as their financials are concerned.

I love what I saw of the new Mako's driving dynamics, but I sort of wish that they didn't call it the Mako, especially if it's not really a combat vehicle. In any case, I'm really looking forward to it, with or without a cannon.

Most games tend to get a teaser and 3 longer trailers, each showing more detail than the last. I'd like to think that the tidbits, Bioware have drip fed to us count as a teaser, so we'll get a proper reveal trailer at E3,

Games aren't announced in financial statements, and a quarter is 3 months. EA releases more than 4 games a year.

I hope we see more then just a trailer, but I believe that is all we'll see at E3. I believe though it will reveal more about the the story not just a teaser. I think the E3 2014 bioware preview was the teaser. Bioware likes the PAX events so maybe we will see and hear more of something at PAX Prime if we don't get that much info at E3.

I highly doubt the next Mass Effect will come out in 2015 now. With battlefront coming out in the Q4 2015 we won't see it then. Don't get me wrong, Mass Effect would do better then most other games, but theres no need for EA to have both games come out at the same time. EA can not have this game rushed either. I think they will announce a March 8 or 15 release date. I would love to see it released before that as it would be 4 yrs after the release of ME3 if it does come out in march 2016, but even thinking of getting a new Mass Effect game in under 1 year gets me excited!

Yes they are. The new PvZ, NfS and the Mirror's Edge release window were announced in EA's Q4 FY15 presentation.

Announcing a release window is not the same as announcing a new game.
