If I weren't a PC, I'd expect less 'selling' and more 'robbed and lucky to be left alive.' Somehow I doubt most Dalish we've met would respond nicely to any attempt to ransom off their prized cultural heritage.
I suspect they'd ask anyone carting around elven artifacts to hand them over, once, and not take no for an answer. It's just one shem, after all.
Strictly speaking it makes no sense for the Dalish to even necessarily have the currency that would make all of this worthwhile.
I'd open up a shop in Minrathous. ELVEN CRAFTS, FINE ELVEN CRAFTS, DIRECT FROM FERELDEN AND ORLAIS. YOU WON'T FIND BETTER.

Lol, yes I have been selling anything even remotely elvhen I find to the Dalish camp. If it says in the description it was elvhen or I found it in an elvhen ruin I always sell it to the Dalish camp. The only exception would probably be the Dalish Toy Soldiers.
My dalish pc has been keeping all artifacts she finds in the storage space in Skyhold. They're much more protected this way. Guarded fortress > a bunch of elves with wagons. Something could happen to them and it could get stolen again. She'll just reveal them at the next gathering of the clans. However, she did give them the Red Crossing documents free of charge.
I would rather sell Dalish elves to the Tevinter Imperium.
I did not do this, though I love-- OP-- that you thought of this, and yeah, I wish there was an in-game reward for doing so.
I did continue doing all the Dalish tasks, even after I'd gotten enough favor to recruit the warrior. I wish there was some note of this, too-- because my Inquisitor (and my personal feelings, in this case), though human, strongly supports the elves and the Dalish clans, and I wish this was noted.
The only real opportunity to help elves and make a (significant) difference in the game is with Briala, and that was too high a cost, in my opinion-- Briala was very sympathetic, but having Gaspard executed and keeping Briala's machinations from Celene seemed too high a price. Along with the fact that (those who read Masked Empire tell me) that C & B's relationship was not great to begin with, I just didn't feel comfortable "reuniting them," especailly when Gaspard is summarily executed for doing pretty much the same thing as everyone else. I digress, however...

That's Orlais for you, by the way. No wonder I still feel allegiance to Ferelden.
Would rather just give them the artifacts. Anything to make their lot a bit easier to deal with.
