I play mainly gold now days and both are just too good on Gold. Drellguard actually does take some degree of effort to play at a high level with the QMI I generally don't have to try to top board and easily win the match.

Infiltrators with Javelin, Black Widow, Widow or Valiant.
well, playing with any of my quarians makes me feel dirty and in need of self sterilization, but for these two in particular I have to load up on the immuno-boosters.
QMI
There's not really a way to play him that isn't, but for going full cheese on this smexy man beast, I used to just run Claymoar, lolcarrier, BW, Arc Pistol or whatever and they all work extremely well to the end of making all the things extremely dead. CSR with cloak bonus does almost the same damage per shot as the Carrier on him......but it fires 300 RPM faster and stacks teh cheeze better than almost anything that isn't the Reegar (which is also dirty on him, but I want to include some variety). If you can use the scope in CQB, it is one of the best assault rifles there is. It also keeps tacscan's cooldown low. He dominates, talks dirty and you never see him cumming coming, and I like that. Keelah se'lai, bosh'tets.
QME
Whoever said there's no time for aerial bombardment when this dashing, lore friendly gentleman is around? Pretty typical no fitness with arc pistol build. Enables you to pump out a 6/6 fire explosion or Tech burst, all game, every 3 seconds or so, charging and firing your quarian pistol all the time. He just explodes and keeps exploding. Mooks never have a chance to react before being burned, blown up and then electrocuted by what he discharges. Bosses might realize you are there, but tacscan's 32.5% multiplicative weapon damage buff, combined with 100% damage double hits on the Arc Pistol means they don't stay standing for very long. Nuke it from orbit, kill it with fire. Kill it all with fire.
I can't play either of these for very long before I'm running a fever, get a nasty cough, and have my sinuses filled with something that is indescribable. Nonetheless, it is always totally worth it.
Drell Assassin with either Claymore or Venom

Talon merc, when I spam Cain Mines.
QME, especially VS Geth. Chaining Incinerate and Arc grenades is just ridiculous against them, no need to aim.
TGI when I play him with Harrier, but that's pretty rare.

I have never even beaten bronze, so I can't pick one.
1- Salarian Infiltrator, Valiant or Krysae. Each gun gives him a totally different playstyle, both are quite effective. I even prefer the SI over the GI because when the SI gets hit, he can simply find something to Energy Drain and keep on fighting. The GI has to hide or go down/spend an Ops Pack and/or Gel and then maybe even bleed out so SI > GI plus lolfleshlighthead
2- This is tough. I'm gonna say BatSol because several times on XBox I topscored Plat Pugs with him at level 1. This has never happened on PC because I don't promote on PC.
Grenade Capacity or Geth Scanner. On anything. I don't have either of them on any of my alt accounts, which has made me realise just how filthy they are.
TGI/Harrier and AIU/Reegar are too dirty (no fun) for me to ever play, but I've clocked a few waves shy of 2000 waves with the BatSol, who is a very very dirty boy no matter how he's specced, but I'd say Talon + Grenade Capacity and Power Amps is about as dirty as he can be.
QME + Arc Pistol and GC has also helped me wallow in filth on occasions too. 
I have never even tried the Reegar AIU. Katana AIU is fun. Scimitar AIU is still horrible. Eviscerator AIU is really fun ( Lots of hatemail there)

Agreed with the Talon Merc and his cain mines. I used it the other day for the first time doing a randomizer and my God is that kit cheesy and broken. I destroyed entire spawns in seconds, even though it was a wide open map (London). I can't imagine the damage it would do in a small map with easy to predict spawns... 
I'll probably do a gold solo with him just to beat my own fastest time and then have a shower! 
Don't know how you can enjoy playing like that...
The other would probably be the TGI Harrier, though again, I very rarely use him nowadays, even if I was expected to carry. Another very broken kit...

FYI to anyone who didn't know, smexy quarian bum-bum isn't hips, it's full pockets of poop that needs to be flushed. Kinda like when you find out your favourite pair of breasts are full of silicone, only stinkier
