The only other two candidates would be Sentinels, too. H-Sent, and KroLord vs Geth, but they don't make me feel dirty.
I'll never feel bad for beating up Geth with a KroLord, and as far as the H-Sent goes, well... unlike the Vorcha, at the end of the match, I can just shrug innocently, because no one ever believes me when I tell them that the H-Sent is an OP crutch.

Basically anything more OP then my fellow players makes me feel dirty. I'm most happy when I'm viewed as the underdog. This way no pressure and I can just focus on doing whatever I want. Even if that means staying in the corner admiring the scenery while my fellow pugs deal with the Reaper threat. Because, you know, they should of known better I was a scrub and kicked me while I was still in the lobby. Now they have to deal with me.
But I'll tell you this. When I give maxed manifest boys on the PS3 a run for their epeen money, they sure don't feel comfortable. That's for sure.
And yeah, Volus Merc for the win. Only kit that's hard to feel dirty with because no one knows how awesome he really is.
Talon Merc is pretty mediocre if you don't spam the mines. A decent GI or TGI can outscore the dude easily. Just because you - can - spam the mines, doesn't mean you have to. I enjoy playing him as a defender of the team's flanks, so I'll have a few mines placed at various flanks, so the team will be alerted when the enemies start to flank. I'll use his AP or COncussive arrows, and weaponry more than I use the mines. Spamming the mines leads to hatemail. Be a class act.
There's really no kit that I feel really dirty with, other than maybe the Flamer Trooper or the Quarian Male Infiltrator. I'm personally not super great with the GI, but other people just are insane with that kit. I only play the AIU with a Spitfire, and I never use the TGI other than for melee stuff these days.
Put the Merc on Condor or Dagger (hazard) and the guy becomes way below mediocre. Below avarege shields, subpar powers (arrows...meh) and total regular passives.
OT: Valkyrie and Asari Vanguard.
Valkyrie with Reegar vomits so much damage, it takes the fun out of the game for me. Filthy because you can't walk out of ten waves worth of charred, electocuted corpses and still look fabulous.
TGI with PPR is a recent discovery for me: the PPR melts big units and headshots all the mooks with ease. Almost untethered from ammo boxes, except when in need of a dextro-drug fix. Bonus style points for rocket backpack and heavy melee. The only problem is that waves end too fast

IDK that I agree. You can one shot a lot of enemies with AP arrow and a charged based weapon and do significant damage to enemies in the open with high health pools. Now I do agree he isn't on the scale of GI or TGI but he's a pretty effective killer, I don't see him being mediocre but that's JMO.
Folks here know how to put together guns/power outputs waaay better than i do on any day...so i'm sure my setup will seem like a scrub to many.... 
Phoenix Vanguard w/Lancer - For the most part he's a fun kit and Smash and lash are fun powers that can fling abominations into the air and smash can wreck havoc on bosses.
Demolisher w/ Typhoon (main) Arc Pistol (sidearm) - i just recently started running this setup and it works amazingly well for her.....her grenades will stagger or handle anything while waiting for the slow start up of the typhoon, but by the time enemies recover from the grenades the Typhoon is mowing down everything in sight... 
....I do tend to have issues with factions like Cerb tho....if phantoms or Dragoons get too close i often struggle....
..still i like this particular setup...i run her like a tactical soldier instead of an engineeer...
