Why isn't Cerberus the most hated faction?

you have a problem playing the Furry against a faction that is full of units that die in one hit from you merely looking in their general direction and spamming the throw key all game?

sounds like a really bad case of L2P

^ Again. I'm talking about a specific play style.

I need to find new interesting ways to play this game. I still try to squeeze smarts at all times, naturally. Otherwise I wouldn't be extracting with PS3 pugs.

Go play Platinum Geth with Shuriken Fury on London/Rio/Hydra. And then come back and talk to me.

^ Will do. Just need to find nat in the hat online again.

Rio isn't that bad for Fury depending on the pugs.

Meh, I'd rather fight Cerberus with the Fury than any faction outside of Rippers.

...

Cerberus? You can rapidly dispatch Goons and Phantoms, so that in itself will allow you to eat the wave budget quickly.

Exactly.  That alone makes me glad I have the Fury if we land in a Cerb match.  Especially for later round hacks/escorts when it feels like Goons are spawning from WITHIN the group zone.

But Goons make PUG extractions vs Cerbs a unique challenge...no doubt about that.  I consider myself pretty much at PUG level still, so I should know.

I posted this video for Binary Helix a few months back. It's me getting smacked around by Cerberus on platinum with a CSMG Fury.

And by smacked around, I mean me trashing them equally as bad as they did me.

Also, what QMR said.

Nonsense thread.

Dragoons are so easy to handle, it's pathetic. You can evade their melee attack, you can interrupt it and like all Cerberus troops, you can force them to roll and thus stop their offensive completely.

Guardians are never a problem. If you are too stupid to bring piercing ammo/mods, then you can still headshot them through the mail slot. If you use a weapon unable to do that (Venom, Scorpion, Falcon) and are somehow unable to aim behind them, then you still have the option to slam into them so they are unguarded for a moment, allowing you to shoot them. Or simply use Pull to take their shields away permanently.

Phantom Death Squads happen exactly twice during a Gold match and if you can't remember when, then you deserve to die. Also, a single ops pack will take care of your mistake and give you enough time to stagger the girls before you headshot them. Plat ... well, if you can't deal with Phantoms, what are you doing playing Plat anyway?

Evading Atlas missiles is easy, just block them with a building. Hard cover. Or hide behind a team mate. Fire damage? Go into hard cover for a few secs. Or... ops pack. Atlas is so slow anyway...

Nemesis are cute. Throw a turret or drone at them and they'll be too busy running around like a headless chicken to bother with you. Alternatively you could simply kill them. They like to be grabbed after all.

Turrets are only a problem if you ignore the Engineers when they spawn. Cerberus wave 7 is "Hunt the Engineers" wave and if do anything else, it's your own damn fault for being riddled with bullets later on. Also Energy Drain, Sabotage etc pp.

If you still struggle with a faction after all these years, then perhaps it is time to retire before you embarrass yourself any more.

^ A no Dark Channel Fury is because it's the only way to turn her in a pure CQ kit. Plus great practice on this reckless CQ play style. It's a different way to play the game and quite enjoyable too. And it's the only way to see what I mean by this topic and Cerberus.

Well, you made a ridiculous premise, so the outcome will also be ridiculous.

Quelle surprise.

Since you weren't using the Acolyte, I have no idea what other weapon would mean you have trouble with Guardians.  Throw some damn piercing on your gun and you won't have any issues with them.

The actual type of character that has trouble with Cerberus isn't CQB it is simply low shield, since they have a lot of hitscan DPS in bursts and volleys (ie Phantom Thanix o' Doom Triple Shot).  Melee range Phantom is less dangerous than long range Phantom to anybody with consistent stagger, ditto with Dragoons.

Try a pure CQ kit a la pure reckless Fury without Dark Channel, maximum Throw recharge speeds/weapon coodown, minimum or no gun fire for quite a few games, and all bottom evolutions for AF. And then tell me you haven't changed your mind on the Cerberus faction?

Given that the build is solid (DC is mainly decent as a WA primer only), really don't see the issue.  One of the strongest characters against Cerberus.  Fury also gets to straight up cheat and travel through walls.

The premise is not ridiculous. It's a solid and exciting play style that I find Cerberus is most capable of being at threat at. Only way I came about it was starting a new account on PS3 and finally playing more power focus then weapon focus with all manner of kits. So I want to share some of this for those who are still looking for new ways to get more replay out of ME3mp. Maxed manifest has made you all soft. I'm here to save you all.

Hold your horses there, buddy.

You can play and build however and whatever way you want. But saying that no-DC Fury with meh guns such as Lancer and CSMG is "a solid build", is retarded.

Again: nonsense.

You can easily slap a Tempest on a Fury and go to town. AF drains shields and barriers, Throw detonates everything close by and you can spray bullets at everything still standing in the meantime. You do not need URs at all. I'd even go as far as saying that the Acolyte on the CQC Fury is counter-productive since your shield drain keeps you alive.

You could also stop with your condescending messiah stick. Not only is it even remotely believable, you do not have the necessary skill or knowledge to pull it off.

Cuz at least Cerberus mixes it up in terms of pressure. You go from running for your life from Phantoms and Goonz...To having a laugh fest chasing down and meleeing Nemesis  ( <-- If they make me chase them 2much, I will just Nuke em )   and humiliating Guardians never gets old.  ( I love Lashing their shields and not killing them, just watching them go berserk on teammates is hilarious ) Plus who doesnt admire the Lone Combat Engineer left alive trying to Solo the wave for Cerberus.  ( that Phalanx is OP )
