Meh, your problem is in the builds you're trying to run and how you're going about them. Phasic rounds for one thing is just IDK crazy to me if you're playing "close quarters" the enemy will be primed with AF anyways there so I don't understand the phasic over warp rounds which will do more damage versus everything except shields.

The other build with the power mod is kind of IDK crazy as well. I don't understand the purpose there unless you're going to throw once then purge AF because the field explosion is the only thing that's going to get serious benefit from the power mod on the weapon. Melee build on the fury is harder than balls unless you play it several times in a row and get the rhythm of it and it's still one of the harder melee kits in the game, I recommend a Falcon with Cryo rounds or Venom with Cryo if you want to play melee with her and play with friends because you're going to get rekt for the first few games. Completely suboptimal but fun build though.

Lol. Sinful, it's really hard to say this, given the quality of the entertainment you provide us with, daily, but...

This really has to be the most ridiculous thread you've created here. I mean...

C'mon! XD

I posted this video for Binary Helix a few months back. It's me getting smacked around by Cerberus on platinum with a CSMG Fury.

And by smacked around, I mean me trashing them equally as bad as they did me.

Also, what QMR said.

Just finished the vid. And just like me, once the ops and gels run dry for Fury, the fun runs dry too. Then it's all about playing the BSN standard once again. More gun shooting, more RHA, more rockets, more playing it safe.

Still, it's not the Fury & style I played with most (http://kalence.drupa.../me3-builder#17!2025515!!13Y5..53!G.EEG). For me it's much less about shooting and much more about practicing playing tag with spawns to keep everyone busy in combo detonation stagger ie. throw detonate one enemy, move to the next one close by, and back again to finish the first one you started with. It's a nice dance to practice getting better with enemy awareness (dark channel also help with giving hidden enemy positions away) and getting the hang reckless CQ tactical positioning. Something I'm still working on. This is the play style I'm trying to teach. And Cerberus own this play style most from recent personal experience.

As a terrible fury player myself  I must still decline to agree with you. Here's why.

Geth: You can't exactly go bitotic boom boom if you keep getting ***** slapped into stun submission. Sure you can the one's giving you the elbow with AF but there's still the double and triple tap seeker rocket spam, the clusternade plus tazer spam, and the flamethrower that shoots further than it really should cheat. As for primes well have fun getting close enough to do anything without stun spam. Final verdict: Screw you geth cheese

Reapers; Wait they're a joke for the fury as the only threats are the generous firing arcs ravagers get, questionable banshee teleports, and the rare wait did that brute just grab me moments. Final Verdict: Meh a few annoyances

Collectors; Sure biotics rip them apart but then there's the bee spam, scions given the same spotting generosity as ravagers with a cannon that hits like a freight train, is way too damn accurate, and comes with shield regen delay and stun. Praetorians are a nuisance but manageable so you long as you teleport away from their face and don't hit the bubble of no but I'm sure you already knew that. As for the abombs super fun but hope you get that throw knockback or you can nuke yourself. Final verdict: annoying but doable

Cerberus: Atlas can be dealt with by addressing their slow as molasses speed. Teleport behind them hit them with a boom and repeat as they turn to face you. Phantoms: please tell me I misread your post and you aren't complaining about them being OP when you try to Leroy Jenkins charge them- of course they're going to light you up if you do that and it's deserved regardless of the player or kit for doing that. AF+throw+teleport same as the Atlas. For groups try picking them off as sometimes phantoms will break their death squads or just mass AF, fall back, and repeat.

Smoke: Cerberus does blitz so you can wait it out or take advantage of the map to flank around it.

Guardians: See how to deal with phantoms and Atlas. If this takes too long swallow some pride and blast them. I don't think any but the most anal ****** would call carrying one weapon to address the lolshield "playing a weapon"

Nemesis: watch for the red dot and listen for the beep. The red dot betrays the shot location and the beep provides a chance to respond. Save Nemesis for last if they're that big of a deal and play cat and mouse with them.

Turrets: Okay you win this one as it's the one element that depending on placement and number that can be uber bs.

Final verdict: mostly annoying one point of bs

So my opinion in summary: Geth>Collector>Cerberus>Reaper for a CQ fury. I know everyone has their own opinions based on experiences but that's why I can't agree with this notion.

Since you weren't using the Acolyte, I have no idea what other weapon would mean you have trouble with Guardians.

Having to shoot is the problem. I need non-stop biotic combo stagger to maintain CQ dominance & dps.

Lancer and CSMG are both UR...

I know, last few games were on X-Box and I figure most here have access to these weapons. I mostly played Fury on PS3 with level 2 Eagle.

Hold your horses there, buddy.

You can play and build however and whatever way you want. But saying that no-DC Fury with meh guns such as Lancer and CSMG is "a solid build", is retarded.

It's just to better encourage and open eye to a more reckless CQ play style I'm trying to explain here. Plus great practice for this play style. Check the Cylde Fury video posted here. Once ops ad gels start to run out and are out, he starts switching styles more easily because he does have Dark Channel. Plus maxing fitness with Survival Loadout works nice to encourage more recklessness.

^ Again. I'm talking about a specific play style.

what playstyles are there on the Furry? There's playing her the optimal way by abusing the AF> throw combo, which can only be done in CQ, and there's tossing DC from miles away like a gimped Huntress. Pretty much everyone who is even half decent with the kit does the former.

I know plenty of players who do what you are describing and annihilate everything with ease, often without getting a single weapon related medal in a full game. Cerberus is generally the faction they cause the most destruction against because nothing is really threatening in close quarters and everything but atlases (slow, stupid, easily avoidable unit that you are supposed to ignore) dies within two seconds. It isn't hard to run up to enemies, look at them and spam the R2 button until they're all dead. L2P

I see you've made no comment on the video I posted, yet you continue to spew your mindless babble about close quarters combat Fury.

Resolution: You're not good.

You wanted me to watch it in fast forward mode? Didn't know such a feature existed on YouTube?

Firstly, for once I actually agree with you about Cerberus deserving more hate.  I'm firmly in the camp which enjoys decommissioning machines more than trying to get a lock on dancing Nemeses to melee them, amongst all the other Cerberus BS regarding Phantoms, Turrets, Smoke, Goons and Atlas rockets.  The geth are a piece of cake for me by comparison, although that changes depending on using certain characters like the AA or Shadow who absolutely trivialize Cerberus.

The thing is, a reckless CQ Fury is one of my favourite characters to use against Cerberus (if I'm hosting), so I'm afraid this sounds like a serious case of L2P.  You have a problem with Guardians?  Seriously?  You do know you can put piercing on your weapon, yeah? :P

But really that is the heart of the matter.

reck·less
ˈrekləs
adjective

(of a person or their actions) without thinking or caring about the consequences of an action. "reckless driving"

It may be working as a "scared straight" type of thread though. :police:

I didn`t read much more then the first page, but this is what sinful says on it:

I gimp myself by saying the best weapon option for the class is a cruch, and i refuse to use any form of cover. I want to play like noob, and then i get rekt.

Go figure.....

I love fighting Cerberus, especially with the Fury.  I just roll with the Acolyte.  Phantoms...Acolyte+AF+Throw=DEAD.  Guardians are my only weakness but I have teammates.  Melee kits are fun too.  I thoroughly enjoy using the Batguard and Charge->Melee to punch Phantom heads off.

Why isn't Cerberus the most hated faction? That's pretty obvious- because Geth exist.

I play Eagle Fury all the time. And yes, Cerberus can be annoying. But not more annoying than Geth stunlock or Collecturds power lock and laz0rs through 5 walls.

Don't forget butt lasers.

*gives notes to a Cerberus Phantom about butt lasers and she facepalms epicly*

I agree, Cerberus is my least favorite faction. IMO the least balanced faction; with no Phantoms on the field they are absurdly easy, with multiple Phantoms they are the toughest faction with their cheating palm blaster XXXX.

While pugging, Cerberus is the most likely faction leading to a solo of the wave 10 objective.

This is the most often pre-set I will bail from in a lobby. Especially considering it is generally the faction selected by weaker players because they think Cerberus is the easiest.

If I do stay in those lobbies, I end up switching to one of the set ups which trivialize them (ie AF kits, vanguards, GT, Acolyte wielders, etc)

Geth are super annoying, but short of Platinum, easier.

From my experience, a couple of Dragoons are enough to completely wreck your average pugs. No Phantoms required.

God I wish Phantoms would facepalm themselves on sight.

Facepalm their effing heads off.

The most garbage faction. I'll take triple primes over Cerberus any day.

edit: after reading this thread it seems it's just a mix of refusing to use some weapon because you don't like it, ignoring what some are saying and l2p issues.

why don't you play less reckless and more "reckless", since clearly that's the problem.

Guess what kit she was using!  I know she's not even a fan of soloing and this is her only platinum solo to date, complete with good time.

What's the moral of the story? L2P Sinful...

I think the turrets have ridiculous amount of shields and way too much damage output, and LolGoons are annoying as ****, have armor, they stagger, they have a Hornet XXX and they are hard to stagger, unless you catch 'em at a right animation. And they always come with 2-3 friends to push you out of cover and put you on the Phantoms' desert plate.

Well yeah, the reallly really weak pugs. For those players it doesn't matter which faction you play, they still die constantly. I'm amazed those players find any fun in playing a difficulty they have no chance in.

Funny side note, last week I pugged a UUG with what appeared to be an under prepared lobby, and we got Condor Cerberus. The others kept dying right in the middle by the ammo box. "People, stop fighting in that spot!". That was loooong match ... with devices everywhere!

I like Cerberus. Especially when I'm playing a Fury.

Until those fucking turrets show up.
