Do you solo or pug (or in twilight zone lobby you have to solo)....

1. some challenges (makes no sense since this is mp and some challenges don't promote the MP side)
2. there is no lobby of player so you have a big fat no choice
3. just to see if you can do for whatever reason
Personally I start a PUG game if I can't find a lobby and 99% of times I will be joined by others, on that 1% times I rage quit before the end because I find it boring. PUG is > than Solo for me.

Mainly for nefarious purposes. I like to meet different people of varying cultures, creeds and races......and troll them.
Though I'm not playing right now. GBFO.

I find soloing pretty boring, it was boring in ME3 and it's boring in DAMP. Most people who solo do it for epeen.

A friend has gone solo a decent amount because there's never anyone local online and I solo for some challenges, to practice/test something, or if I start my own public lobby and no one joins me because it's a weird time of day or maybe I smell.
I love to pug and it makes me really happy to see newbies, even if it means we wipe.

It's generally easier to solo than group since I'm not hindered by the enemies damage bonus everytime my whole team hits the fade halfway through stage 2. I know that sounds incredibly arrogant, but it's just the situation.

I've always preferred to play with pug's, as I've always found it a great learning experience, but just lately I'm soloing a lot more, that's only due to the crappy matchmaking leaving me with public-private games however.

99% of the time I pug - but a friend advised me that soloing would make me better, in that I would have to think more strategically, and not just rush in and 'kill all the things/ride the wild fade'. I do find that I am improving, so I guess that qualifies as Science!
If I am having trouble finding a group, I just open my own lobby and sure enough, by room 3 I have at least 2 if not all 3 other spots filled.
idk what 'epeen' is, but it sounds bad...like something that requires an ointment

My order of priorites is:
1. Join friend's game
2. Get kicked from friend's game by awesome EA servers (
)
3. Search for public game
4. Get shunned into a lobby all by my lonesome
5. Start game by myself
6. Lag out of my own game
7. Enjoy the stellar DAMP experience

Haha, one could say the same for those who judge others based on the way they derive enjoyment playing online video games ![]()

Or have to go through yet another poorly designed weekly challenge :
All challenges about killing xxx enemies with such or such weapon/element, I ran solo because you can get 80+kills in a solo game here you only get a quarter of that if you play in a pug.

Same story here Ispan and I really agree with the latter half of your post.
Altho I pug most, I definitely like to solo for science ... experimenting with the flow of battle when one is alone can be quite exciting when done once in a while. The dragon is especially fun when you're the only one in the arena she can perilously head chomp on.

ps: It was awesome running into you in a pug the other day! BOOM!

I did some soloing on my alchemist for poison kills. It was not very fun, but I'm glad I did. I got to improve my skills on how to dodge attacks and stay alive when I am all by myself. Learning the five D's is easiest when you are the only one taking aggro.

I always PUG if I can't get a full complement of friends in a group. If no one is on, I start a public game and usually have enough people by the end of room 2.
Even for challenges, I still tend to PUG unless it's just ridiculous (the one with all the weapons at once).
I do appreciate the solo people who contribute to the advancement of science though. ![]()

I usually start out pugging.... then i move to groups with friends. If we don't have enough, we open the group up to public. At the end of the night, I move to more of a core group to farm xp. I figure this allows me to meet new people and potentially help some newbies out. ![]()

Puglyfe > all.
I'll solo some times to wrap up particularly annoying challenges (mauls and poison, I'm looking at you), but I like the unpredictability of pugging. Have made some friends that way who I prefer to run perilous with, but I think if I have an hour to kill, it'll always be threatening pugs.

I see a lot of threads about people soloing. I understand if your soloing because of
1. some challenges (makes no sense since this is mp and some challenges don't promote the MP side)
2. there is no lobby of player so you have a big fat no choice
3. just to see if you can do for whatever reason
Personally I start a PUG game if I can't find a lobby and 99% of times I will be joined by others, on that 1% times I rage quit before the end because I find it boring. PUG is > than Solo for me.

PuG. I find it very hard to find public lobbies for perilous FC. So what basicly happens is I go to do a quick search of games, then be placed in an empty lobby. I press go and solo to about zone 2 or 3 and then other players start to join.
I guess you have to solo the first bit at least or otherwise you will be end up waiting for ages and no one shows up. And chances are that even if someone does step into your lobby they might just quit seeing you are the only player there.
