Huh. Does this happen often? Does it have a cool name?
Only recall it happening to me 3 or 4 times (the time I mentioned was the most notable because I was the only player not downed)
I have no idea if it happens often enough to get a cool name

Now I understand lol. My 9 hour Bronze solo had them retards all out of sorts. Only time I've ever been accused of being a cheater and Photoshopping. Why I would cheat by doing a 9 hr bronze solo is beyond me? Lol
I once took GI to a pug match.
I was soon accused of cheating.

This still baffles me! You were one of the biggest trolls in the group.
I had -1 ammo on my Venom today. Not sure how or why that happened, but that was a glitch, I guess. I've never heard of the glitch mentioned in the OP, although I have seen extreme lag produce something like that, and the Volus shield boost glitch.
Happens a lot with the Reegar, just forces you to manually reload
I thought it was a splendid idea. So I did it. He's horrible at it btw. Keeps posting fake GTs to people looking for games.
If you think about it it was actually a very clever way to mellow me out. keeps me out of real trouble since I at least try to to be more professional.
I'm not that smart... ![]()
ANYWAY.
So The Wilde glitch, bad connection to host, and the basic eat your cake and keep it too-host migration gear glitch.
That it?

Maybe it's just harder to be a smart ass to Richard Johnson than it is to xxXproknifa420Xxx
I think that's a "you" thing.
I think that's a "you" thing.
I'm having trouble understanding these people of the interwebs:
Q: Has anyone else been experiencing a glitch to where your powers can't hit and you can't use your gear?
A: there are 2 different issues. one is called the controller glitch, usually happens in waive 8 or 9. your download/upload speed can't keep up with all the action in the waive, you have to keep mashing on "b" button(melee) to get out of it. it basically neutralizes your controller, all the stuff you are mentioning. there is also a lobby glitch, where you are out of sync with the host(& maybe some of the other squadmates). you aren't able to get many kills & your score will really suffer, usually to the benefit of the host. only way to fix that is to leave the lobby at the end of the match. these 2 are the most common now(not bad since EA doesn't even maintenance ME3MP any more). there's also the shuttle glitch, where it stays at LZ all game. might not be able to climb ladders or use ammo dumps, other issues also. usually caused by host, & you will most likely lose him before the end of the match(that's ok, cause you get a chance for the gear glitch)
Shuttle staying in LZ is caused by a lost packet from the host telling your game to get the shuttle flying off.
The ladder, lost of sound, ammo, invincibility (but no damage), being under the map, flying in the air, running in molasses or invisible walls are all caused by the same reason -> a desync to the host causing your game to think you are slightly flying above ground or slightly below ground.
You can't get ammo because your game thinks you are below/above the ammo box.
You lost sound because you received invalid packets that screwed up a particular sound(s). In strong desyncs, you lose all sound
You can't climb ladders because your game thinks you are not at ground level to activate the ladder.
You're invincible because your game thinks there's a wall (the floor) between you and the enemy which also prevents you from shooting/power/meleeing them
Being under the map is the easiest way to get out of desyncs and is also caused by a desync. You get into a position where the game detects no ground under you, then you fall back into the LZ (synced if the connection allows it). Flying in the air is a crapshoot. Sometimes you will be in an invalid position and resynced, sometimes it never happens and you're flying all game with a good chance of invisible walls.
The easiest solution is always to leave the game. Everyone will thank you because a serious desync hits everyone particularly with audio loss, host included
Well, I once had a glitch that was similar to the Volus glitch, only there was no Volus in sight. I couldn't use my powers, equipment or my gun for around a wave and a half, but eventually, it just cleared up. I can't remember how it fixed itself, but it's still one of the weirdest things to happen to me while playing this game... Something like that could be what they were talking about... maybe... ![]()

Huh, desync. Fancy. I shall forward this info (where it shall be most likely completely ignored).

I've noticed it happening with Geth Shield Regen Turrets but not nearly as often as with a Volus.
this is from the FB group, isn't it?

Mystery solved.
As for what they were talking about...

^ There was a mystery?
EDIT - ah, you edited your post to make sense. Good man.
Huh, desync. Fancy. I shall forward this info (where it shall be most likely completely ignored).
Ok i guess desync needs more explaination. Here's what happens in ME3 games
At the start
i) You connect to the host (lets say map is ghost)
ii) The host sends you information such as map used, current enemy/ally locations then it waits for your reply to acknowledge reciept
iii) If the route from the host to your game is long or passes through bad/overloaded/ect routers, the information can get lost
iv) The host will think the data lost and resend after a fixed period when it does not recieve your acknowlement
If you are already in game and the game freezes for a time, thats likely either 2 or 3 people connecting at the same time (freeze is noticable but short) or 1 person with a bad connection joining (freeze can be extremely noticable, going up to 1.5 to 2 secs from experience). For a bad connection, the freeze is from the data resending a few times
In game,
v) You press the movement button and run to the bottom of the slope from the LZ. Your game is sending your new location to the host (possibly speed and direction is sent instead, never read the engine manual).
vi) The data may be lost due to iii) then the host thinks you are still in the initial spawn site but to your client you're already at the slope
vii) You continue moving up the slope. The upwards movement is sent to the host.
viii) However to the host, you're still in your initial spawn location (instead of the slope bottom) and moving upwards. So it pegs you as flying.
ix) You are now "desynced" from the host with the host thinking your location is 1 place while your game is thinking its in another.
This is a very large desync example. A smaller desync can happen if the connection is not stable. Moving up/down stairs/slopes/etc and having a small part if that movement not updated on the host can lead to you being in the ground or in the air and leading to the noted problems.
Sometimes things resync due to you doing something that forces the host to see that you are doing something impossible (such as dropping off a place that has no "solid ground"). Such resyncs can be temporary if the connection remains unstable or can solve the desync issue if the connection instability was just a hiccup
I got the gist of it, but thank you for explaining. ![]()
Probably caused by their proximity to the host. #DistanceCausesLag

It happens with any action that restores shields. You could, theoretically, lock yourself up with an ops pack.
This is like watching Inception.
Computron2000, does the top drop at the end?
