No, we flamers measure in gallons/s and target crispyness factor (TCF). Also, temperature is irrelevant - what counts is how long it takes to sizzle an object to a little black speck.

Lol, "Degree Angels" - 360 academic celestial beings? I can take them all out in one cast with my wiener!

Fixed.

tell me more. And btw, that is true about the full circle jerk, that you don't need 360 people for it. but the old saying goes more the merrier. Circle jerking leads to other things as well.

Like what? Rhombus jerking?

It has to do with math brother. A quick google search as to 360 degree origin, shows that it was because Babylonians discovered that the perimeter of a hexagon is 6 times the radius of circumscribed circle. 360 came from working with this 6 base.

Why were they circumcising circles?

No, because an ancient earth culture who disappeared 8000 years ago shouldn't be telling everyone in the modern universe how to draw their circles.

And they could only calculate Pi to two digits.  TWO DIGITS!  So who died and made them the gods of everything?  Fat lot they knew.  The fact that Pi cannot be solved shows how fundamentally flawed their system was.

The Babbylonians only told us how to *divide* circles--the Spirograph tells us how to draw them. As an added bonus, the Great and Powerful Spirograph revealed unto us the lemniscate.

MP threads are leaking again.

Mp forums man..

You have to be patient with them. They're used to arguing about empirical things that they choose to use as surrogate representatives of their penises. It will take them time to learn our ways of passive-aggressively expressing racism, arguing over foreign politics, and debating the relative merits of Pokemon over GoBots.

I can see we're gonna need to talk some geometry in this thread.  So I drew you some more pictures.

Here is a triangle (3 sided shape) inside a circle:

circletriangle.jpg

Each side can be said to cover 120 degrees of the circle.

Next we have a square (4 sided shape) inside a circle:

circlesquare.jpg

Each side can be said to cover 90 degrees of the circle.

Then we have a pentagon (5 sided shape) inside a circle:

circlepentagon.jpg

Each side can be said to cover 72 degrees of the circle.

With me so far?  Ok, because now we have a 360 sided shape inside of a circle.  I'm not going to draw that one for you, so use your imaginations.  Each side can be said to cover 1 degree of the circle.

Ready to get your mind blown?  Now imagine a 400 sided shape inside the circle.  What happens now?  Well, if you're Babylon, God blows your ass off the face of the earth for being dumb.

I just cried reading the OP. Well done.

So did the moderator who had to move it, he sent me a message to apologize for it.  At first I thought this was worse than a lock, but this crowd is starting to warm up.

All I see is that a circular cross-section for my flamethrower pipe is always superior to the polygon shapes for throughput - resulting in an overall higher degree of damage done.

Usually being the trash receptacle of the forums leaves people a little peeved, but this is an interesting enough topic to avoid sh!t posting for the most part. It's on par with a Bunz thread, which is both a mark of shame and success.

I like it when our lame threads get dumped in off topic. They're THAT good!  This thread is killing me but I still have 'likes.'

On topic, I ate a pizza that was in the shape of a circle. True story.

How many degrees did they slice it?  8 and 12 seem to be the standard; when I was a pizza manager we tried to teach people a method to slice it into 10 degrees, but it apparently was too complicated for them and we eventually changed the policy to make 8 degrees the new standard.

It was 8 and 8 is a fantastic number! It's basically two circles too. It's like having one circle but double.....and on top of the other!
