Mass Effect 2 and Star Trek V The Final Frontier share 1 thing in common. The story line for both has the characters going to the center of the galaxy(or as it is stated in Mass Effect 2 the Galactic Core).

Star Trek V also had the same plot as several episodes from the original series: The crew travels to an obscure place, finds God, only to discover that he is insane, a child, or both.

Actually, the ending revelations are closer to the end of the first Star Trek movie; the Catalyst shares some simularities to V'Ger (an Big Bad revealed to be an A.I. with great destructive power, working off a simple operating principle), and Shepard's deaths recall Spock's sacrifice in Wrath of Khan (most of all with Synthesis).
