Bring back the warden thread #205
You'd think after #204 you'd quit already.

My Warden haven't romanced Leliana, so I don't worry about it...
I believe my Warden is still looking for a cure, he wouldn't just leave that just to become a NPC for a DLC...
It's because the Dragon Age writers know, that it is easier to build a cohesive compelling story WITHOUT interacting with cohesive compelling characters. DUH!
I think it was because the way Leliana developed, with or without the warden's influence, was not one that was something they wanted as a LI. There are a whole bunch of great new ones to try out. They've already explored the warden's story with as much detail as they were able, but because the warden was so important, they wanted to at least let players know that they were around and doing something they felt important. We get a letter to know they're all right and happy. If you want to imagine how, you're free to, but they can't predict what it will be, and they don't want to disappoint. That's fair enough.
Oh look, another HoF thread.

Yep, it was Wednesday.
Anyway...
Mike Laidlaw @Mike_Laidlaw
@frostybob123 I wouldn't work too hard on that particular hope. I do not feel the HOF would work well as an NPC.

More like they are not competent enough to pull it off.

Irrelevant.
Laidlaw had this to say over at Kotaku a couple months ago.
Q: Any hints that the Warden (origins character) will show up in future DLC?
A: Pretty unlikely, which I know disappoints some folks, but I have some pretty serious concerns about making a character who had no voice suddenly have one. It feels as if it will be dissonant. The Warden is and was an awesome character, and I don't want to risk "wrecking" those memories, even unintentionally.
The bottom line is, not going to happen, no matter what you think the reason is.
My Warden is dead, so that would be awkward...

Indeed
I have one dead Warden.
One who's a blood mage/healer
One who dual wields long swords
One who abandoned the Wardens after Denerim
One who's a Ferelden bann and member of Alistair's court.
None would really fit into a DAI adventure. So, yeah, leave my Wardens alone.

Funny how everyone aways forgets about the Orlesian warden.
Spoilers ahead for people who haven't finished the game yet (if there is anyone left
)
Well, I've a theory about the warden, dunno how good a theory it is. It seems Bioware is bringing the Elven lore into existence with each game (what with Flemeth and Solas and all the theories involving Sera). Also, everything is connected to the ancient elves (the old gods, the blight, everything). At the end, it is also mentioned that Weisshaupt has gone silent which inclines towards darker tidings. In the meantime, The Hero of Ferelden is searching for a way to end the calling which could be incorporated into future stories. I think the next DA game, hopefully there will be one, will revolve more around the elves and the warden and will take place in Northern Orlais and Tervinter.

Because not that many people cares about that warden
Caring or not, it would work as an placeholder for dead wardens, not too diferent from Stroud being the placeholder in case neither Loghain or Alistair are wardens.
Source? Did an interview or tweet come out about the new story dlc somewhere?
IMO, dlc featuring old characters would be nice to have, but shouldn't be a priority, because the Inquisitor's story doesn't feel finished yet and could really use some more fleshing out.
Edit: Nevermind, I found the article you must be referring to. The gamespot one from June 2?
Well, I think someone tweeted a dev saying something about Wardens and the Deep Roads, and the reply was an enigmatic "now that you mention it" or something along those lines.
Obi Wan should have killed you when he had the chance! ![]()

Seriously, why are people so obsessed. People hated it when Hawke was given a personality, now they want it the Warden to be given it.
Seriously, folks, it's not gonna happen. Move on. The world doesn't revolve around one person, who could be already dead.
