He lived a long and full life.

Just wanted to underline this. Dude hunted Nazi war criminals, acted in movies for over 50 years, and became a heavy metal musician in his 80s. We should all be so lucky.

I just heard about it now.

I'm genuinely really upset.

Haven't been this choked up over a person's death since Steve Irwin.

R.I.P Lee.

You really built an army worthy of Mordor <3

It was only a matter of time but man did he hold out until the end. He's not been very comfortable with long distance travelling in recent years. The man remained an actor 'till he was 90, an excellent feat. He was a mountain of charisma in any role he partook. RIP Sir Christopher Lee. You were amazing.

The man even gave us the privilege of watching him once more on the Hobbit.

I'm actually really hoping that my atheism is flat-out wrong at the moment and there is an afterlife.

Dude was a Tolkien-nut too <3

Thanks for making our villains both fearsome and classy.

Dracula still lives. If only in our hearts now.

Oh nooooo, I just heard about it... :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:

He was truly an incredible, iconic actor and obviously very, very dedicated to his work. Not many people would pursue their passion with such vigor into their 90's.

Sir Christopher Lee, you didn't just gift was with a wonderful portrayal of Saruman but with all the work you've done. You will be greatly missed by many.

93 is a very neat age to pass away.

That's Right. Ignore the science guy!

I know many people who died in their 50s, 60s and 70s. Reaching 90 is a rarity.

Saruman might never sail to the West but I'm pretty sure Christopher Lee will.

Damn, it's surreal. The man had a career spanning decades, but one forgets just how long he was in the film and theatre industry.

He was 81 when he portrayed Saruman in Lord of the Rings, he also met JRR Tolkien in person, it's odd when you cast your mind back that far, he Knew what we consider to be a literary giant personally.

Christopher Lee did his incredible lightsaber fight against Yoda in 'Star Wars' when he was 79
