I wonder if the size of the games nowadays really compensates for the huge amount of bugs pretty much every AAA is getting at launch. Anyway, as long as players keep buying games massively on week 1 this is going to keep happening.

I guess they missed how awful the PC launch was. Worst game I've ever spent money on by far. And they're still charging $60 + subscription knowing it'll go F2P soon...just terrible.

I was wondering why nobody came to defend ESO, then I realized they are all probably frantically trying to log in every five minutes.

To get placed in a queue.

Then get CTD'd before your turn is up.

Then repeat.

This is the exact same thing that happened on PC launch. The irony is delicious. I'm really trending darkside today.


BioWare, it's highly doubtful all the major issues will be fixed this weekend. Take advantage of that and pull off a great weekend event. You will reap higher benefits than normal.

The entire thing was underwhelming (I played as much of it as I could handle). The orc issue was just something that irked me from the start.

Quite sure I ended up using my own shade of green for my Skyrim orc. Continuity. Orcs were green. In Skyrim, they could still be green. In ESO, nah.

The most sad/funny/ironic part is these are the EXACT same issues PC launch had.

Login issues (server ended up being down for days)

Login queue issues (queue displacement, queue kicking you back to title screen, and CTD while waiting in login queue, which would take 15-30 login attempts to even reach)

Missing NPCs (breaking quest lines, I think 1 stopped story progression altogether)

Broken Friends List

Failure to deliver Imperial Edition Add-ons.

And more!



When this exact same thing happened at PC launch, I figured nothing that ridiculous could ever happen again. LET ALONE THE SAME GAME. They actually refunded people extra time on their PC subscriptions bc it was such a massive f**k up.

Oh well. My pleasure rage has left me and I just mostly pity my fellow console plebs. I have a feeling they are in for exactly what happened to us PC players. I'm praying they don't have pre-patch Stage 5 Vampirism Vampire Swarm PvP Emperors though. That crap was BULL

Knowing what I do about ESO's shoddy phasing and single-player only quest mechanics, I have to ask: Why would anyone want to play it? It's an MMO that sucks at being an MMO. Not only that, but (likely since it's built as an MMO) the combat has no bite, no impact. You just run around enemies flailing like a mad man (if you're melee at least). It's funny, thinking about how someone actually got upset about the descriptor being used on another forum thread, but "floaty" describes ESO's combat quite nicely, I feel.
