Oh ****. Now I'm excited. Playing as... an ally? Hawke? another faction?
She did say "I think" and "not necessarily", though, so it doesn't have to mean anything.

I don't have much patience for watching videos, but unless the first 6:30 are about otherwise-unpublicized exclusive interviews they had with BioWare or something, that sounds like exactly the same tone in which people say "I'm pretty sure Gaider said on his tumblr that Dog was originally supposed to be the Inquisitor, but he deleted it so I don't have the link."
And now people are going to be quoting this as fact. It's the circle of life!
(EDIT: On the other hand, I really hope they are going on misremembered Twitter stuff instead of inside information, because if the first story DLC that seems like it's going to have new content for Skyhold and the advisors isn't going to have the Inquisitor as its protagonist, I'll be really disappointed.)
Assuming it's true, playing someone involved in the Orlesian civil war would be cool. That's one aspect of the story that I think didn't get covered very well.
Leliana has a few lines in the dlc (not sure where did I hear this), maybe she is sent somewhere?
On the twitter thread. One of the devs tweeted that he could hear her recording.
Uh...this would suck. I rather play MY CHARACTER. Ugh. One of the cool things about Bioware RPGs is that I can make my own character, not forced to play a bland character like Gerald in the Bitcher series.
Playing as a mabari or don't care.

"bitcher series" very mature
Another "Leliana's Song"?
God I hope not to be honest.

Why does Leliana's song get such a bad rap? It wasn't a bad DLC. Maybe it was overpriced, but at least you got to see some parts of Leliana's background, and I thought the mission was pretty cool.
Not like Witch Hunt, which was 4 hours of Blah Blah Blah, followed by 3 minutes of cryptic Morrigan.
Agreed, I didn't mind Lelianas song at all. I guess because I got the DLC in game of the year edition off Steam for like $10 on summer sale I am fine with it lol.
There was mention of darkspawn involvement in some upcoming DLC or other, wasn't there? And regardless of the decisions in HLtA, *someone* survives. The consequences of that decision might be self-contained enough for a DLC. Pure speculation, of course, but it might make for a fun DLC.
(Why did this topic have to begin on a "no spoilers" board? Being evasive is harder than it sounds!
If I have to play as Hawke I won't be wasting my time with this DLC.

Creating your own character is overrated and I'm getting sick and tired of fools using it as a defence against The Witcher which in my opinion is a much better series then DA and the writing puts DA2 and 3 to shame.

"removed for spoliers" I don't understand..?

I put stuff that happens late in the game, with regards to Hawke in my post . When I thought about it and the fact that this is the non spoiler section of the site I decided to remove it.

Seriously - so poorly covered. I've already ranted about this a few times, so I'll leave it be now. It could have been SO much more relevant in the game, and more interesting. Womp.

Some of us just don't like the Wtcher learn to live with it.

Primarily because some people were already worn out on Leliana by the time it rolled around. The fact that she ends up being a part of every game since has worn some people down even farther. This is compounded by the fact that there were other stories to tell, other stories that could have been expanded upon. All that really did was further flesh out one of the more fleshed out characters anyway.
There's also the serious lack of tension due to knowing the outcome beforehand. Finally, there's the obvious fact, we weren't playing as our PC.

I know there are people who don't like The Witcher, my problem is people using the "well i can create my own character" rubish to trash TW and it gets tiresom because surprise surpise not everyone thinks having the ability to create your own character is all that and a can of beans.
Also, comparing the writing between a series where all the writing is done internally vs a series where the stories are based on bestselling novels is disingenuous.
Doesn't change the fact that TW2 and 3 make me feel certain things compared to the saturday moring cartoonish-ness level of DA:I and 2.

You do realize that the only one who mentioned The Witcher was you.
