The one I ignored the movie to have.
I have no idea how, but I read the title as "favourite sex scene," and now that I read it again, I realize that my answer makes no sense.
Have like 20 from LOTR alone.
- Charge of the Rohirrim.
- Aragon's Speech at the Black Gate
- The OP's
- Sam following Frodo into the water
- Faramir's flashback
- Sam vs Shelob
- Eagles arriving at the Black Gate
- Gandalf vs Balrog
- Boromir's Death
- The March of the Ents
- Aragon and Gimli fighting on the bridge at Helm's Deep
- "The Horn of Helm Hammerhand, shall sound in the Deep, one last time."
- "For Frodo."
- Smeagol and Gollum's dialogue
- Gandalf on death
And there's probably more, but that's from the top of my head. However, one scene that always brings me to tears is this one.
It's Japanese, but it's got subtitles.
I still consider the entire final sequence in Last of the Mohicans to be some of the greatest filmmaking of all time.
*Snipped Last of the Mohicans clip*
That might get my vote for my favorite ending to a movie.
My favorite monologue in a movie:
Comedy honnorable mention:
Seeing the title of this thread, the first thing that came up in my mind was the end in 'Last of Mohicans'. That is a powerful movie.
But I'm not sure it's my favorite. One of them maybe.
This is not my favorite either, but it was easy to find on Youtube, and I appreciate it a lot, because of all the **** complete idiot writers fill crime shows/movies with.
Alas, it was the only thing funny or clever in that boring and annoying movie.
When a man is forced to kill his best friend. . .the last of his kind who was once his enemy. . .There is peace and redemption in both. . . ;_;7

One of the greatest duel scenes in movie history...
Also, dat Ennio Morricone soundtrack....
Most people I know who've seen The Thin Red Line don't like it too much, but it's one of my favorites; this scene is accompanied by my all-time favorite piece of original music for a film:

Best war movie ever made. There are a few other almost as good, though.
Oh, it totally forgot that one:
It always remembers me why I do my heavy deadlifts without wrist straps. Grip strength is just too useful.
