I could post so many good scenes...

I'll give you three two that quickly come to mind:

1. "The Chase Scene" from Rocknrolla (its cut up a bit but the best I could find)

Spoiler

2. "Hector vs. Achilles" from Troy

Spoiler

3. "The Presidents Speech" from Independence Day

(The third one refuses to work. Eff it! Most of you have probably seen it anyways. :P )

How about some good old-fashioned shootouts?

Along with Bonnie and Clyde, Sam Peckinpah's The Wild Bunch helped set a new benchmark for on-screen violence, and pioneered the slow motion 'ballet of death' style that has become cliché since. We will never be able to see this sequence the way audiences did in 1969; Peckinpah was as interested in horrifying us with his violence as he was in thrilling us, but modern variations of this trope pretty much just play it for the excitement value.

This classic shootout from The Untouchables is actually a tribute to the Odessa steps sequence from Battleship Potemkin, which is one of the most important scenes in one of the most important movies ever made.

One of my most favorite scenes in recent history is the scene from Mulholland Drive where Rita stumbles down the side of the hill toward Sunset Blvd.

That video has served me well countless times whenever somebody came up telling me that melee weapons are best for home defense.  ;)

They are, only if the encounter is close enough.

Encounters don't get really close if you have ranged weapons, that's why soldiers and SWAT carry guns not katanas or spears. Plus, the motion of pulling the trigger is much MUCH faster than swinging or stabbing with a blade.

Besides being hilarious, it was the best portrayal of Marine basic training on film.

Right down to the part where a recruit kills their training instructor then shoot themselves :P?
