rofl, great thread.

I can get the height question several times a day and the basketball question, usually the combo.  And people will talk to me outta no where.

Oh and at 6' 4" you'd look small next to me.

I'm 6' 11".

My poor niece only just hits *converts to imperial* 5'. She's a midget in our family. She calls herself Stumpy. She used to be terribly conscious of being, as she called it, a 'short-arse'. She's gotten over it now, but we can't take family photos with her in them unless we all sit down: that is, she stands and we sit.

You can't revoke my license. I have tenure.

You can take away my LOTR discussion privledges, though. I don't know much about it.

Filipino here and I'm a 6-footer (and wide to boot) with cousins who range from 4'11" to 5'4" on my father's side. My grandmother was 4' 10" or so.

My nieces and nephews are scared of me when they hit the ages of 2-4. They consider me a "giant".

I rolled elves on most rpgs pre-LOTR. When everyone got into the LOTR thing, I stepped back and went for dwarves and other races (draenei, Tauren in WOW)

It was in Dragon Age I went Human first... then Dwarf. The elf I played to the end was an AW mage - but that was because of the stats and not really because I wanted to play an elf.

D&D - Players Handbook 4th ed. - Dwarf - 4'3" to 4'9", Halfling - 3'10" to 4'2" for a nerd baseline. ^^

I guess there is a reason it's called role-playing.

You are two full feet taller than I am . I guess dwarfism is a question of who you are standing next to. *low-to-high five*

Well, I meant they are dissimilar in culture, physical characteristics and temperament.

But yes, he's clearly too tall to be a halfling. Are there half-dwarfs, like how there are half-elfs?

Anyway, back to the original topic of self-loathing, I'm disabled and apparently I hate disabled people, according to this test.

Everyone looks small around me.  It's lots of fun walking through tight crowds.

I'm 6'2, so I'm usually looking down at people a lot, but every now and again you witness a giant walking by and you just have to stand there in awe.

What the hell did their parents feed them?

I knew I should have eaten all of that stuff. I happen to be allergic to mushrooms. That must be it. Did you eat a lot of mushrooms X-President?

The women in my family are pretty short in general, but I am the shortest. Lucky me. I am of mScottish/pWelsh Descent so I have no idea what that means as far as average heights. :)

Hmm...

I think the Scottish and Welsh ancestry probably contributes to Dwarfi-ness.

Short Scottish/Welsh girls... isn't that where Dwarves come from?

I wonder if that would work in a bar...

Do you produce an axe when you get angry? Most other Scot girls I know do...

I don't have an axe, but I do head-butt on occasion. *edit* which might not be good if you are 6' 11."

Well, in that case, I would suggest that you are just a regular girl. Image IPB
