When I throw a grenade, I don't want it to slowly float through the air to miss the target, I want it to explode.
Looking at you, homing grenade!
My preferred kit would be the Saboteur. The tech vulnerability from sabotage makes it sort-of worthwhile to use.

Nades are not tech powers afaik, so sabotage don't do anything for them.
Only exception is the QFI as her nades gain bonuses from ammo, disruptor rounds set off tech bursts from her nades which does benefit from sabotage, same with incindiary as the FEs also benefit from it.

No.
Indeed, it's a shame as it would make the Saboteur a more interesting option if it worked that way.
Only the FQI gets damage bonuses from her nades when using sabotage if you use disruptor or incindiary ammo.

Lift grenades and the Asari vanguard.
I know lift grenades hit like a truck, go through walls and are capable of killstreaks on lower difficulties. I don't dispute that they are awesome. They are, however, boring. They explode for massive damage, and their only unique feature, the lift/slam function, is basically worthless as an option.

According to this thread: http://forum.bioware...al-tech-combos/Homing Nades detonate tech bursts, fire explosions, and cryo explosions, and sabotage primes for tech bursts. The wikia says the same. Are those wrong, and if so, can you point us at the correct list, please?

And it does seem then that HGs detonate ammo powers, good to know.

yes they, do. And it works very well for the Drell Assassion:
Cloak -> Recon Mine -> Homing Nade -> Shoot Tech Ammo (as long the Nade is traveling) "TechBurst" -> Detonate Recon Mine as finisher.

I believe the backfire element of sabotage primes for tech bursts on organics. Priming window starts after backfire which kind of lines up with homing grenade's travel time. Homing I can say for sure does detonate though.

Lift Grenades are by far my least favourite, but the Krogan Sentinel is my favourite character in the whole game. Go figure. I guess it's because they're mostly just used to reload cancel my Claymore.

This. Also why my tech bursting saboteur hates landing on Geth on U/U games. Since they get hacked instead of backfired, they never get primed for tech bursts. It seems like a programming oversight. The description of sabotage says "Hack synthetic enemies and affected weapons overheat". And backfire affects overheated weapons. The problem is hacked targets stand there stupidly, and also it wouldn't make sense to gimp something you just turned to your side. I wish sabotage overheated on contact and always primed for tech bursts personally.

I hate the grenades that disappear out of your hand when you throw them. What are they called, Lag Grenades? Everyone has em, especially when you need to kill something before it kills you.
They are the best.

They don't disappear. They were never there to begin with.

My Incendiary Ammo Claymoar N7 Demolisher loves some single target debuffing fire explosion detonating Homing Grenades to the face followed by holding the Claymoar button to fire with the fastest timing and prime the Scion before the Homing Grenade reaches its target and take off 80% of its armor with a quickness
try it it's a good trick
