Our fault.

We punished Bioware over the copy and paste locations in DA2.  We punished Bioware for the crappy ending in Mass effect.

This is Bioware making us feel the pain from those outburst.

I guess, in a way, we deserve it.

Now that the slate is clean, will Bioware get back to making good games?

lol I suppose that explains why DA I is so terrible

I actually liked DA2 sure it was obviously rushed but its still better than the mess called DA I

I hope ME4 and the next DA will be good again but after DA I's undeserved success I'm not getting my hopes up

If Inquisition is punishment, I'm going to have to misbehave more often.

DAI isn't in any way perfect, and there Are several things I'd like Bioware to improve in the next games, but it didn't feel at all like a punishment.

It is something some of us came here to have actual constructive conversations about.

Why anyone would want to come here and waste their time on valueless bashing rather than constructive conversation is beyond me. But I suppose some people get off on that sort of thing.

It's extremely constructive,  The more people that complain/bash, the less likely they will dish up such a mess again.

Beside's I am feeling rather bitter as I am forcing myself to play the game to it's conclusion, and it is causing me considerable discomfort.

The OP's got a point. This is what happens when we do a lot of hysterical ranting. Sometimes the developer takes the argument too seriously.

You should play a game you like instead.

Really? You must have a different definition of constructive where you're from. Bashing tends to lack the nuance of anything constructive.

Then don't play it. Last I checked, no one has a gun to your head. No one is forcing you to do anything. Resell it, give it to someone else, but you don't HAVE to play it.

Of course not I didn't say that
Some here get rather defensive though when one critizies their favourite game

I think OP isn't serious and is exaggerating

I mean of course it wasn't a punishment but for me it was definitely a disappointment and a rather lackluster game

Yes, no. It was just with counting at least 10 people who seem to have enjoyed the game, I am intrigued to uncover why.

I am rushing through the game as quickly as possible and fortunately I can cover vast waves of the game while reading a book, as the game only requires one's attention on few occasions.

Constructive criticism comes in many forms, and not just in praise. If something is bad, you don't tell the person who made it that it is good, because then they just make more bad things. But if you tell them that it is bad, then they are more likely to improve on aspects of it so that it is not bad. See how criticism works? Being nice is not always a good thing.

BIOWARE DEFENCE FORCE ASSEMBLE!

burgundybanner.jpg

I've quite enjoyed playing it these last six months. Although I do think Bioware should learn a lesson regarding mounts: just because people think they want a thing, sometimes they don't know what they want. They said they wanted mounts; what they actually wanted was Mount and Blade.

Well then its all about messaging.  I mean Constructive Criticism is all about reason and sanity and not..blanket personal insults and hyperbole.

So is the OP saying that BioWare is like House Bolton then?  The flayed men?

I think you'd find that many of the posters here that Greetsme and John Sheparrd would characterize as "biodrones" are actually super into giving constructive criticism. I know I don't tend to stay quiet when Bioware does something I think is stupid (which is often). There isn't a single thing in this thread that would constitute constructive criticism.

If you want to take a look at Greetsme's post history (and, in fact, their contributions to this very thread), you'll note it's light on constructive criticism and heavy on grandstanding trolling.  S/he's going for pageviews and post counts. Hence, the reception.

Did I say anything about just praise? I said bashing lacks the nuance of constructive conversation. The op's comments aren't constructive. They're just more bashing.
