ME1: "I hate the mako! It's terrible!"
ME2: "What happened to the Mako?!?!"
DA2: Maker, these all-bisexual romances are horribly unrealistic and break immersion.
DAI: OMG BIOWARE WHY CAN'T I HAVE LESBIAN SEX WITH CASSANDRA

I think Inquisition is BioWare's second-best game (after Baldur's Gate).
Whatever they're doing now, I want them to keep doing.

This is a constructive criticism.
If this is torture, chain me to the wall.

Interesting. Could you explain your reasoning? I'm just curious because I know you prefer old-school BioWare.

I have already explained multiple times what I don't like the game I really don't get why fans of the game always demand that one always posts constructive criticism, it sjust silly
Should I just copy and paste my points for DA:I in every post? Do you do that for ME2+3?
The last time I had all the fun I have with DAI with a BioWare game was with ME2. There is stuff that need a lot of improvemant, but the road is the right one.
Making the mounts more present and important to the game, for example. Using more cinematic dialogue and close up. Giving more race-related dialogue/missions, and more customization for the PC.
I was overall happy with the game. Is one of my favourite so far.
Our fault.
We punished Bioware over the copy and paste locations in DA2. We punished Bioware for the crappy ending in Mass effect.
This is Bioware making us feel the pain from those outburst.
I guess, in a way, we deserve it.
Now that the slate is clean, will Bioware get back to making good games?
I didn't punish BW for the copy/paste locations in DA2, I liked the ME ending, and I enjoy DAI!
*sobbing* I'm not part of the cool and angsty popular people, the beautiful people!

There are lots of things wrong with DAI. Just for starters - no Tactics system to speak of, Corypheus doesn't get enough screen time or development, both the beginning and the ending have pacing issues, beige pyjamas, terrible lighting in the CC, lacklustre PC controls. And those are just the major problems I have with it. I can understand why a lot of players don't appreciate the focus on exploring large open spaces rather than meaningful narrative-driven side content, and that many of them hate the hair styles, even if I don't care much about that stuff myself.
However. None of that stopped me from enjoying the game or playing it for more than three hundred hours (so far) across multiple play-throughs. And if you want the next game to be better, whatever that means to you, threads that say nothing except 'this game is terrible! The sky is falling!' aren't going to cut it.
The level of irony in this particular OP is also amusing. You think BioWare are somehow punishing us for criticising DA2 and ME3 ... so what do you think will happen if we all scream about DAI, exactly?

And therein lies Biowares problem. Conceptually the Mako was fine, a great idea really, just exploring planets, never knowing what we were going to find. Its execution wasn't though. the way they implemented the Mako is what needed to be tweaked, not the Mako being tossed out altogether.
I guess the lesson learned is to pat Bioware on the head and say great feature, but could we improve it, just a little - not tossed, just touch up or two...

Yeah, they did get a lot of things right, and perhaps some of us have been harsh as it seems getting the engine to do what they wanted it to do was tougher than perhaps they first thought. That seems to have sucked a damn good portion of the budget and left little room for much else. Still it's frustrating to see seemingly millions of horse options and useless skyhold upgrades whilst the meat of the game - the quests ended up being lackluster. Seems like a bit of a misallocation of resources happened somewhere along the line.
When people say features were removed from one game to the other, that's not entirely true, it's more a case of said feature not being implemented (Yet?) in the new engine.
BG2 was a shadow of the original. BG2 was surpassed by both NWN and DAO.I'm looking around, waiting for the world to end, because I never thought you'd say this about a Dragon Age game.
And Balder's Gate, not Shadows of Amn?
I think their worst game was ME2. Followed by DA2.Pls no its easily their worst game
Inquisition gives us tons of space in which to design our own character. There's hardly any cinematics or auto-dialogue to contradict my design. The exploration offers near constant roleplaying opportunities.Interesting. Could you explain your reasoning? I'm just curious because I know you prefer old-school BioWare.

It's not the perfect game, but it's a great game.
I think the Inquisitor is the best voiced player-character ever created, all because we have so much control over his/her personality, background, and beliefs, especially something as personal as religious faith. And I also enjoy the exploration, but I wish there were more traditional BioWare side quests that provided role-playing opportunities. Too much of the side content in DA:I lacks compelling storytelling.

And yet another surprise from you! This... is extremely unusual in my experience. I always see people worship BG2, and I very rarely hear anything about NWN. And when I do hear about NWN, it's usually about Obsidian's NWN2, not NWN1. What's up with that? It seems like NWN1 is the least remembered of BioWare's major games.

Sylvius and I seem to like DAI because its design harkens back to BG1. I feel that the exploration in the game is storytelling in itself. I like all three of the DA games for different reasons. BG1 is my favorite Bioware game. DAI comes just a wee bit behind it.

I think of NWN as one of those games that was a jack of all trades, but master of none. The original campaign wasn't really all that interesting or at least not many people seem to rave about it and as such is mostly forgotten. It's probably more well know for its modding and the expansion packs that came after it. Also it's MP and DM capabilities of course.
I remember trying to create a mod for it, but I hated what I created and deleted it. Plenty of people were coming up with some great adventure modules for it though.
BW also got a lot of mileage from the engine they created for it as they continued to develop and build on it right up until DA2.
I believe it was also the first game to use the then new DND 3rd ed ruleset.
First of all, NWN has BioWare's best user interface, hands down. That's a massive plus in my book. The NWN OC also allows BioWare's most blank slate protagonist. There are no cutscenes at all, the player maintains camera control at all times, nothing regenerated automatically, the variety of character builds available was incredibly broad, it offered great freedom to play however you wanted (extensively moddable, choose your own patch number), the OC offered multiple possible solutions to several quests... I've probably spent more time playing NWN than any other BioWare game. And yet another surprise from you! This... is extremely unusual in my experience.
