Unless they are holding it out to surprise us, EA has not confirmed the appearance of Mass Effect 4 at next week's E3 as they release the lineup of games that will be shown off next week and ME4 not being among them.
Take this however you may.

"At the E3 Expo (Booth #1601), EA will give show-goers hands-on with the titles below, as well as a few surprises:"
It's a list of games that will be at their booth, not a list of what's going to be shown at the press conference.
It's impossible. With the expectation that there is about it? If they don't show something it'd be a real kick to the face to the fans D:
P.D: I cr*p upon all the EA sport titles ¬¬
I've feared that NME just might not show up after all. I think it can still happen, but obviously it won't be much.
The main factors that I think might have indicated it's not ready is that, it's only a month or two since someone asked Bioware whether it was strictly a human protagonist and only got the response "We haven't locked that down yet" and on top of that you add a lot of the comments we've heard on twitter from the developers lately... I just can't help but think it sounds like they're still just scrambling to find a solid foundation for their game design, but who knows? We'll all be the wiser in a week's time.

WeekEND's time...
And maybe it's possible they aren't ready yet, I think because of the engine change. But they could still show something, or give some details...

Higher on the page it says: "At the press conference hosted by CEO Andrew Wilson, EA will demonstrate a dozen HD titles"
There is exactly 12 games listed on the hand-on list...
I agree, but according to the list, it may seem EA wants ME4's reveal to really steal the show, which is why they havent announced it yet perhaps. They know ME4 will be there and we know it will be there, but it is good theater for EA to hold out until the press conference to reveal ME4.
Here's hoping...
really we all know they just can't pick a name for it so they couldn't put it on the list.
Still it is weird, seeing as we already know MEnot4 exists and they been more then willing to acknowledge it.

Somehow I do feel like they've had a name for it for a while now, but they're just waiting to announce it with a proper title as well as hushing on everyone who calls it ME4 because that's crossing the line or something.
The chances of NME showing up are 97,34%. So there is no need to be upset.

Really? You can't squeeze 97,35% out of it...?
They don't list unannounced games beforehand. Wouldn't be much of a reveal if they did.

They listed the SW:tOR expansion
Fair point.
Though maybe they did that because its an MMO expansion, not a full game.
Either way, they've said they also have "surprises", and why wouldn't they save their NME reveal for that? It's one of their biggest franchises.
If ME4 skips this E3... ohh boy...

Too big to say nothing about it before the conference.
They would want to get people in on it in order to increase interest in the conference itself.

There is a difference between skipping and barely showing up.
The fact that we know they are working on ME4 doesn't mean they are ready to show the game.

Considering they were eager to show off developer concepts last E3, while we won't see gameplay, we'll probably see a cinematic trailer.
