Hello, I have only played through once, but I one my first play thought I more or less just hit the main points, are they the only thing that matters on the save import or does ever decission you make on side missions and add on content get moved over too? I want to know because I was about to start my 2nd play through, and I wasnt sure after I wanted to see the begin of ME2 and i imported my first play though and seen where it list everything you did. because if thats the only thing that matters is the ones listed and no other decissions matter then I might go ahead and start ME2.
Thank you for your time and help.

Nope, there's a ton of minor details.

Impossible to list, too many. Unsure of some, not working yet for others.

I'm not sure if all the decisions in side missions matter, but I did run into the reporter again on the Citadel and we spoke about our last encounter when she ambushed me. So I'm sure there will be a lot of little nods like that. Are they important to the story? Probably not, but they add just a little sense of nostalgia as you play thru ME2

ok on my import it list this stuff so warning may have some ME1 Spoilers:

Name

Rank

Military Spec

Psych Profile

Status of Wrex

Missing in Action

Cauncil History

So if I play through again then more will be influenced in ME2?

It also make the game and story to flow and feels like you are really part of the world.

It imports more than what is on that list. Even really minor things, like that doctor from when you recruit Garrus, are at least mentioned.

There are a lot of little things added into the game, too many to list.

For example, you could meet Helena Blake and Fist on Omega if you kept them alive in ME.

because Fist is one sexy beast, just kidding my wife just asked me if on this play through if I let him live then, lol. I said like hell, he was an SOB anyways and it was funny watching the look on Shepards face when Wrex blow his brains out.

Yeah, the decisions are minor and makes you smile sometimes. I think they exaggerated a bit about choices carry over.

My question is: how much difference does doing the side quests have? I finished the game with about half of the side quests at level 44 and then played "most of the way" through 2 more times doing side quests and group quests and making different decisions. Is it worth bringing in a 'more complete' playthrough? (Meaning I have everything I can do done up to Virmire and only the main quest to blast through at this point, should I bother?)

Developers have already confirmed that over 100 decisions affect ME2.

Some ME1 decisions could even skip ME2 and affect ME3.
