By now I've played with a decent few of you. Some of you have seen me at my worst (Loufi in a very laggy game vs Cerberus, QMR putting up with my alt account scrubbiness, etc) Yet, some of you have also seen me at my best (If brown Gargantuan was still around, that time I broke 200k points using only a Scorpion 1 in Gold was pretty amazing. At least I THINK it was with him.) I know I don't hold a candle to a lot of really good players (I stress out too much to solo plat, for example) but at the same time, the average pug makes me look almost Godlike by comparison.

It's been bugging me for awhile, but the truth is, the more you know, the more you realize you know very little. Maybe I'm focusing too much on my failings? I mean, I carry 9/10ths of my Gold games, so clearly that means a good chunk of people I play with are worse, right? And what bugs me isn't that they're not outperforming me, but that they're not meeting fairly low standards, like 70k points. But when you think about it, is 70k even particularly low? I've seen Gold games with under 300k points total, and if I get 130k, and the last 170k are divided up among 3 people....

Basically, I'm wondering if I'm better than I give myself credit for and holding pugs to too high a standard or not.

it's easy to focus on any failures and never remember all of your good matches, just pass it off as nothing. in fact, don't care how well you do and focus on just finishing. it's better tbh

if the pugs ain't great just keep on leading them to victory, you can only improve yourself.

edit: I play a few matches with you in the past now that I remember it, you do fine guy; stop worrying so much.

The only game I remember with you, Pint, was one where I was using my Venom I because you and your friends all had the Venom X. That's one for my embarassment pile, haha! Still, thanks for saying so.

You sound like a great player to me. Maybe if you see me at my worst you'll see we're all human. And not super epeen machines.

But...

If we were all "super epeen machines", then we'd all just be normal.

I'm out of likes, but thanks for the FR, Pint! And Calvin, since your PS3 manifest is new-ish, I'd be happy to join you on my own alt sometime, you can shoot me an FR if you like, just say you're from BSN so I know it's not some random pug wanting to leech ;p

^ Will do after some sleep then first thing in the morning. Sinful is part of my PSN name, but will mention BSN nonetheless too.

I'm a little amused and also disappointed that no one has said "Sounds like an L2P issue" yet.

You are pretty damn good player, from what I've seen from those few matches we've played together. I mean, you managed to pull off Slayer on my host, that says a lot :P

Seriously, from what I've seen you're on par with the best :)

I haven't played with you..at least i don't think i have, but there are plenty of game mechanics that affect the game...mainly LAG. I know for me i use my phoenix vanguard ALOT and it may seem like i'm not performing at my best when i'm even confronted with a tiny bit of lag..so my performance can be a bit misleading at times...as long as you help and contribute overall, i wouldn't worry about it...Pint and Sinful are great players and i'm nowhere near as good as them, but i'd be down for the cause if you want to do a few runs...PSN: Blackgas7

I remember this game against Cerberus, honestly it was unplayable and I think I was terrible too. But I believe we have played together at least 2 other games, in which you did very well, scoring high without dying much. You're way above the average PUG, there's no doubt about that.

It's tomorrow for me, and my likes still aren't working. And I'm from Canada too! What an outrage!

Nah, you're kickass. Also, getting to play with your <3 quarians <3 on a quarian themed alt hardly has any element of "putting up" with anything. :)

^ I still waiting to play with him and see how he is. But I won't discuss epeen matter when playing with fellow BSNers anymore, because I just enjoy relaxing matches and freedom to do whatever I want. Sometimes I just want to go find a quit place on the map to play with my friend Hobbes and discuss the lastest meeting of our G.R.O.S.S (Get Rid Of Slimy grillS) club.

That says more than a lot. I mean, I don't mind playing on your host because I like playing games with you, but that doesn't change the fact that your host isn't great.  Playing a Slayer well on it?  Mad Skillz, or maybe just mad.  :P

OP I've gotta say I detected no L2P issues whatsoever during the couple of qames I played with you and QMR on your alts.  I basically don't give a crap about score, but as the resident laidback old stoner I tend to be pretty aware of what other players do and how they do it.  I'd say you've nothing to worry about, and as for the general pug behaviour or score - I gave up trying to make any sense or generalizations about that a long time ago.  Pugs gonna Pug, and that's what I love about them - unpredictability.

And btw your alt a/c name is unequalled in its ability to make me laugh, pretty much because I was a bit slow picking up on that particular pun originally.  I obviously focused too much on all the spilled soup during combat.

Isn't it weird that even though a host isn't great, you can still get Turian stability passives and vice versa? ... Was going to spam this into a topic, but might all well rob this topic since the post above reminded me of this. That, and I was also thinking how OPs host would be, and the first thing that popped into my mind is "If I at least get Turian stability passives, it should be good enough."
