Treasure Room Map Markers

I don't know if this has been discussed or not, but instead of having a question mark for the treasuere rooms why not have an icon that shows which door it is.  Such as a warrior door having a foot (to kick it down) or a sword.  So that if people skip a door and don't realize it, and are they only one that can open it, they can see it on the map and go back before eveyone starts screaming at them. Thoughts?

I would imagine it's because they copied the icons from singleplayer. But it's a good idea, they should patch that in!

Pretty good idea. Id love to see this. Ill still ignore the f4'ers though unless im on my way already

Today I had someone post up at the first treasure door and mash "come here" while the rest of us cleared the entire map, opened the other treasure room, and grabbed all the pots.

Then i pulled to the next zone.

Wouldn't you have to, you know, actually play for that to work? Evil potential of map gifs on bsn seems kinda limited.

Only like the billionth time it's been brought up and no change. The only reason it should be a ? mark is if it is Unknown. Once the players are in the vicinity it should change to a class-specific marker.

That said, there's a 97% chance that the person(s) is aware the chest is there. 1% is a total noob that's hardly played DAMP, the other 1% is some little kid, and the last 1% is too drunk/high to pay attention. Doors rarely get skipped on accident.

Had a PuG do this yesterday except we all came back to the room.
I had to turn on my mic and say
" only warriors can open that door so you better leave and rejoin as a warrior"
So he left, never to be seen again

I agree with you assessment. However, The special markers would be helpful for those that didn't notice what door it was as the passed and once you reach the end don't know which one it is without running back.

 

Sometimes people will call it out over the mic, but not everyone uses a mic on pugs.

I have brought this up more than I should in game.  I say color code the question marks. Red for warrior, Blue for Mage and Green for Rouge. Simple as pie.

Archer doesn't have any good reds. Hunter has a purply floppy hat though. Isabela looks good in everything

I know not of which you speak. So you disapprove changing the Treasure Room Map Markers period?

Ultimately a change would be up to the devs anyway no matter how its done. ;)
