Well..., ah..., I got it! Wynne is better groomed and better dressed than Flemeth.
There. I found the 'good' part.

*is proud of herself*

Hmmm, maybe, if you consider wearing that horror that female circle mages wear as being better-dressed.

Hey now. Don't burst my bubble. And I was so proud of myself. Ok, more expensively dressed. There.

*wanders away grumbling about pedantic, nitpicking, bubble-bursters*

A little short and off the cuff-I like pairing her with Oghren XD they talk about spirits - and not the Fade kind...

Hmmm, someone who actually has Wynne in her group . . . Are you SURE you want to be in this thread?

I had Wynne the entire game in a group (except when forced not to). It was the PC mage, Wynne, Morrigan and Dog. The concept was "one dog, three witches". That was pushing the 'easy' button on the game.

I have her in about as many groups as Morrigan. But then again, you may be right.

I had her always in the group, but not if I was a mage or if I was romancing Morrigan.
That's going to change however, because she is a real *** since I started to romance Zevran. And I have one playthrough where I killed her the moment I saw her... (didn't talk to her in Ostagar)

I have Wynne in my party as a rule because she has Haste, and Haste turns my DW warrior (and DW Alistair) into death on wheels. I try to limit her to combat parties only (so she doesn't get to run around Denerim with me, or go on errands) but she's become essential to my warrior playstyle.

When I'm a mage, she is holding down the camp and Schmooples and Dog get to bear the brunt of her judginess.

You need more Haste than Momentum provides?  Or you just don't like taking the stamina hit for Momentum?  As it is, my DWs are flaming whirlwinds of death.

Morrigan for me.  I'm PO'ed that Alistair tricked my HNF into taking Wynne to Return to Ostagar.  And then forced her on us as court mage.  Pfeh!  We'll see about that, my royal husband.  Image IPB

Easy fix: Just ask her to tell the warden story with the griffins. Every night.

I thought momentum and haste didn't stack?

it doesnt...unless you have a mod installed

(combat tweaks double haste+momentum w/duel daggers and blood fury=insane attack speed...and thats with a NERFED momentum)

Right, I meant that Momentum adds enough attack speed to satisfy me. I don't think the stamina hit is that bad, either. I mean, what other talent do you need? My last DW rogue was running Song of Valor + Momentum all the time which sucks a lot of stamina, but things got dead in a hurry without any extra help or fancy moves.

From what I understand (and I could be completely and utterly wrong) Haste + Momentum do stack, but they exceed a limit set by the game that nerfs their effectiveness. If you also have Precise Striking, its penalty to attack speed is just enough to offset that nerfing. So a warrior with Haste + Momentum + Precise Striking has a faster attack speed then a rogue with Haste + Momentum. I think.

I also like being able to haul through longer stretches of dungeon, which is where the true utility of Haste lies.

Ah, ok. Well, Morrigan's DPS usually takes out so much anyway that it more than makes up for lack of Wynne's buffs. Not that anything would induce me to drag Wynne around more than necessary, these days (I did take her everywhere my first couple games).

I've read the same thing, regarding the stacking of Precise Striking + Momentum + Haste. I guess I'm used to playing games with truly massive dungeons, so I've never felt compelled to speed party travel through DA's dungeons, which seem really small to me.

It's funny, because I play a lot of Oblivion and FO3 and I'm almost always a stealth character, so I feel like I'm moving very, very slowly all the time. In DA, even though I love the environment, I'm all about tearing stuff up and running on to the next mob.

LOL - stealth characters are my fav to play in Oblivion, too, but even that game's dungeons are small compared to a dungeon like EQ2 Solusek's Eye. Wierd how I like playing mages only in DA. Image IPB

Im playing a goody two shoes toon...so she thinks Wynne is the grandmotherly type :P

I can find her harmless or really annoying any time of the week. I just found her conversation with Oghren about Meade sort of funny.  Especially since if you pair Oghren with Zhevran you have a funny idea WHERE he gets his drinks from.... ewwww!
