/hugs the Wynne thread :)

I've already posted somewhere in here but let me just say this...time hasn't improved my opinion of Wynne. Thankfully the last thing I hear her say is something about her and dead bodies, followed by 'argh'.

Besides, if I wanted nagging, I'd get a clockwork wife...

Yup. ^_^

You can find many interesting things in the "Lost & Found" corner of the forums...

I even found Alistair's other... missing... sock... :pinched:
It smells like... rotten cheese...

I'm impressed people have such energy and desire to spare to hate and wish great amounts of pain on someone who's biggest crime is self-righteous moralizing nagging.

Her biggest crime is actually attempted murder of the last Grey Wardens of Ferelden during a time of Blight for merely a misunderstanding of words at the tower, or for defiling Andraste's ashes even though Wynne claims not to be religious. She would see Ferrelden destroyed, and quite possibly even worse, in favor of self righteous temper tantrums.

You know, the more I think about it, the more I think that one fellow was right... that it could be a Pride demon possessing her. It is suspicious since it took to her while the tower was overrun with demons and abominations. Granted, there's no reason a faith spirit can't be a type of demon, considering the horrible decisions people make when they're all hopped up on unsubstantiated beliefs.

I think the reason we know it's a spirit rather than a demon is that it is allowing her to feed on it. It's keeping her alive. Were it a demon, the roles would be reversed, in which case she would already be dead.

Or maybe it just wants her to think that. Maybe it really is feeding on her. Om nom nom!

Still, the old baggage is still alive in Awakening...

Silly, random thought. If Wynne has 'magical bosoms' as has been implied, if she were to be hit with Holy Smite or Cleanse would they sag, shrink or just go away?

Is there, in fact, a magical bosom enhancement industry operating behind the scenes in Ferelden?

It doesn't take much energy.  It's a lot of fun, actually.  Image IPB  And nagging is not Wynne's main crime, it's hypocrisy in my view, which many of us have said over and over.

Re. the pride demon, sure why not?  It does seem rather suspicious that she was taken over during a riot of abomination-spawning in the Tower.  Or perhaps it's a desire demon who is helping Wynne fulfill her desire to be the most self-important hag ever.  Wynne's behavior in the Fade certainly is suspicious, too.  If Wade is actually an abomination, why not Wynne?

This would mean that dwarves are naturally resistant to her bosom.

The thread reminded me of Sabriana, where is she??

Sabriana made a brief appearance on the Zevran thread a couple weeks back. RL having its way, I think. This thread also makes me miss melkathi.

It's a joke from Darkspawn Chronicles. And it's Herren if I remember correctly the one who actually turns into a Desire Demon.

So, if she's already dead, killing her is not really killing her.   That explains why my pc's all one shot her

On a related note - I wonder where the pride demon goes after you kill Wynne.  Back to the Fade I suppose to tell the other Pride demons stories about what happened.

"So, how did it go with the old lady?"
"Meh.  Sodding Grey Warden killed her not ten minutes after I took over."
"Killed her?  Weren't you in control?"
"I was trying but Maker, that woman never shut up long enough for me to get a word in edgewise."

Ah right, I stayed well away from TDC. I don't think we can take that very seriously...Alistair hooking up with Arl Howe and whatnot. Heh.

Only reason I played DSC is because of the reward you get for completing it.

I also had a lot of fun slaughtering Wynne in DSC. But that's about it.

DSC has a lot of strange things. Like Ser La(u)ndry still being alive after having duelled Alistair.

So, basically, when you screwed up and implied you were going to kill her and all the innocent mages in the tower... or when you shat on a holy relic that could bring a great amoung of good and hope to the world in desperate need of it.

A defensive reaction to your own ****up, or to one of the most evil-leaning choices in the game. Still not that horrible, all party members considered.

Edit: Actually, that is too harsh, I admit. I should assume you're fair and evenhanded, after all: no doubt you also hate Leliana (who will try to kill you for the Ashes), Zevran (for trying to kill you in the first place),  Loghain (for obvious reasons). Possibly Sten and Oghren as well, since they'll fight with naked blades against you as well, depending on what you do or do not say.

Won't she try to kill you if you tell her that Greagoir asked you to deal with the abominations as he's waiting for the annulment confirmation? You don't even have to imply you're going to try to kill everyone and in the epilogue not everyone died but she can't stand you not ignoring the Knight-Commander and not trying for a miracle last-minute rescue.

Except what good would the ashes do, or the circle for that matter, if Wynne was successful and/or got her wish and the Gray Wardens ended up dead or taken by darkspawn?  As she knows, that would cause Ferelden, including the temple with the ashes in it and the mage circle, to end up destroyed by the blight.

And no one knew the ashes existed anyway.  So it's not that anyone would be hurt by their destruction.

Only if you tell her you intend to carry it out. If you agree to help rescue the tower and not kill the kidies, she joins you.

You're seriously going to blame her for survivalism and protecting the kids against a needless massacre?

It's not a massacre. All of the mages are arrested and interrogated (and yes, I'll admit that this will probably suck for them) but they're not all going to be killed. She doesn't attack anyone at the end if Irving is dead or if you agree with Cullen and Irving surrenders. She just attacks you there when it seems far more reasonable to go with the annuling the Circle than it does once Uldred and his followers are dead.
