I honestly don't mind that much, this place beyond saving.

 

Mods are dumb though. While individual posters are fine, groups of posters are nothing but pure cancer. It's the mob mentality. They develop their own culture, posting habits and the like. That's why you have board sections so that regulars are contained within their own areas, categorised by interest, to prevent their certain kind of cancer from spreading across the forum. You have crossposters and the like, which is fine. But they rarely form a significant part of the board culture if they spend equal time in different areas. 

 

Moving content from one containment area with a strong culture, to a different containment area with a strong culture only causes tension between the two boards. Which is what we're seeing.

 

Basically, the mods are too dumb to see that ME3MP crap belongs on the ME3MP board. If the threads made by ME3MP regulars referencing ME3MP board culture don't belong in the ME3MP section, then they belong in the trash. Not here. The DA:I forums are so hypersensitive and reactionary that the only board culture they have is sliding problematic threads in a condescending and passive aggressive manner. So people don't really care when DA:I threads are moved here. But the ME3MP forums are fairly good at banter and are willing to continue shitposting their threads, even after they've been moved.

 

So dumping one board's cultural wastes on another just causes problems since both sides aren't going to go out of their way to avoid each other.

 

It's dumb moderating practice. It's not like there's some great evil or ideological slant at play either, it's just simple tribalism. Keep ME3MP crap on the ME3MP forums, and I won't have to spam the ME3MP forum with Miranda anally annihilating futa Liara with her feminine penis using a burner alt via VPN/proxy. Simple as that.

New mods are moving threads around without fully understanding things, but I honestly think you are vastly overstating the cultural issues at play. Off Topic is a forum for off-topic stuff, and they've been moving threads here for the three years that I've been a member. I have no idea why there is this need to make a big deal about something that really isn't a big deal.

 

And everyone is welcome in the Off Topic forums, regardless of where they "hang out."

I'm honestly surprised that so many take something like this so serious, if you don't like a thread then just ignore it and move along.

 

It's bad practise yes to move some of the threads we create in the MEMP forum here, we have been playing this game for years now with no new added content etc, so of course some of us gets a bit bored now and then and create a silly thread - fully intended for the MEMP forum of course, not for this place.

 

But end of the day, these are forums discussing video games, you can't really expect a high intellectual level in everything posted around here.
