I like set characters and wouldn't want design multiplayer character myself. That would completely take backstories and voice acting from characters away.

While releasing the game for the older consoles was a stupid decision on their part, it's still not a good enough excuse not to make faces that don't look atrocious. :P But as we've seen from pretty much all their games, good faces have never been their strong suit. Mostly in DAO, Awakening, and DA2 (where no one, regardless of importance, has a "face model") have we seen that they could make nice faces, but only for very important characters (rip, Loghain's handsome face ;_; ). If this holds true, then the real reason for all the shoddy faces is really just laziness. But, that's been apparent for a while now; my examples being older games just furthers my assertions.

Hell, good hair's never been their strong suit either, but at least in the previous games, some hair models were competent.

Anyway, sorry, all, for the irrelevant tangent.

Lol I know. It's just a popular excuse that I see thrown in whenever there's X problem with the game. Why is the world so empty? Console limitations. Why is there so little variation in armor? Console limitations. Why can't I romance that sexy rock? Console limitations.

To be honest, I'm not sure how BioWare usually ends up creating such awful faces and hair. It must actually take skill to create something that appalling.

My answer to the ugly faces in DAMP remains that people complained about everyone wearing helmets in the ME3MP, and this is our punishment. The design team took it as a personal challenge to make them as ugly as they possibly could so we would never complain about having no name/no face agents ever again.

might be onto something. but one thing ME3 had over this was they gave you male and female version of starting classes. Human male, Human female. in this however you just have the one race per starter class. which considering how ME was DI multi seems like a step back really.

They're splitting hairs on the m/f front, I would like to see more of each primarily because I'd like a full ranged rogue female possibly a Qunari.

your right with a game like this the way the classes are set they couldn't do a one male, one female style. still it'd be nice to see a switch up like i said before, a female archer and a male assassin.
