I decided to go for Knight Enchanter with my first Qunari Mage, so recently I was thinking... " Which potion/tonic/grenade " to use with her?

Do you guys have any suggestions?

Thanks.

I don't think there is really any class-specific advantage one way or the other. Mighty Offense helps every class and is usually top on everyone's tonics list. Same with Regen potion, at least before Skyhold.

There is one class-specific impact I can think of, but it is in the negative. Rock Armor is completely wasted on a KE, which auto-regens Barrier.

When fighting dragons without appropriate gear or undelevelled, elemental damage resistance tonics are very useful, though my flanking KE is rarely in the line of fire of dragon's breath, just the AoE affects.

For grenades, Jar of Bees is hard to beat for any class, particularly for one-on-one boss battles, or for wave battles where the waves come through choke points (final battle in Haven raid, for example). I could see Jar of Bees having some value for KE as a solo play as a mob CC, if mobs can be panicked.

Lyrium pots are also decent. Bees are always a safe choice.

I use regeneration, lyrium potions and fully upgraded rock armour tonic for my KE.

Mighty offense i think will make your Qunari knight enchanter a force to be reckoned with :)

Rejuvenation and Healing mist potions always good for extra heals, Lyrium potions if you need a extra boost to your damage and jar of bees can be useful.

I was under the impression that Mighty Offense did nothing for mages.  I won't have time to test for a couple of days.

I recently started playing around with Rock Armor Tonic since I am using Ice Armor ability on my KE.  It works well.

Hmmm, that's what the wiki says as well, rogue and warrior only. I had just assumed it helped KE.

I don't get this. Since KE regens barrier, what's the point of rock armor tonic? Unless you mean mainly for the ultimate upgrade that stuns enemies?

The stun is great and in the DLC Barrier is not enough.

Mages can't equip Might Offensive Tonic. My dreams of dropping a 40k fire mine on a dragon will go unfulfilled. There is a Lyrium potion- but I haven't used it enough to be able to tell if it increases the power of your attacks while it is active.

Lyrium does increase power damage because it buffs your magic number, and so "attack" stat is increased.  Fully upgraded it is 50 magic, which corresponds to 25 attack.  And some bonus to barrier.  Base lyrium pot is something like 20 magic, which is only 10 attack.

In MP you can double dip with both Lyrium and Mighty Offense... eg Zither v Cold dragon with Hot Licks and both active does excellent damage.
