I don't understand why you have to have an approved post before you can start posting. I mean, what is the purpose of it? Anyone care to explain?

The purpose of it is so that it prevents spam accounts and such. Though I believe it's a stupid thing, BSN has been different from most forums that I know of.
You got an approved post, so you can post normally now.

Two main things; one to prevent spam and the other to make it easy for people who've played one of our games to start posting immediately.
