Yeah, damn those people who like to kill stuff... Didn't they get the memo that the point of the game is to keep enemies alive as long as possible? Geez...

Killing things? What's that about right?

Mmm. I distinctly recall that match where the leader asked that question :
It was some level 4 character, without any mods, and "jumpy" personality : leaving & entering the lobby sporadically a few times:

...One guy recently got on the mic and said - they addressed it to me directly - "Do you understand this is Gold we're playing?" ( ) So I spent the game following him around and stealing his kills :D"

There are a mighty lot of silent average Joe's out there:

Instead of summarily voting his backside out - we used a measure called verbal communication. No response. Zadda . Not even a green "ACK"

Belief it or not, some of us cannot automatically solo a gold. Not even after 6 months. Sad but true. So we have to revert to strange measures called "teamplay" and adapting our characters to compensate in good spirit to survive the match and afford some medigels and ops packs to survive the next round.

...sometimes we play around with suboptimal kits, laugh, cry, shout. This may happen repeatedly because since we trusted some statements of expert BSN'ers only later find out that it was misguided statements to make fun of some newbs.
As this became obvious, I reverted also to reddit.com to cross check the validity for some more dubious threads. Tips with a split tongue is maybe funny between the best of the best but no good for newbs.

Some BSN'ers are more prone to suffer from this superiority complex than others. Suspect it is some type of freudian compensation between real & virtual world.

The great mass of pug multiplayers are happy to have fun and stay humble - and hope to get a simple understated tip or two from a experienced player while grinding along ... and sometimes we also try reload canceling to see what it is about.

As a true show of character, I find the last sentence:

... So I spent the game following him around and stealing his kills :D

<-Some younger (by age) players show more maturity than this. Is it fun to play with a skilled member? Sure. If I have a choice of playing with a skilled member with social limitations vs. a badly equipped, low experience pug, but good-willed going the last mile to cover my back, what do I prefer? Honestly? Even with the chance of forsaking credits? The pug...

My request - If you r a BotB or yonder
"communicate" when you alias...

Yeah, no. My alt's character have been at level 20 since day 3, so I doubt that was me. I played a few Bronzes to level 5 or 8, Silver to level 10 or 12, and then went to Gold. And I would have had a decent loadout with full equipment.

As to maturity and character, well, one can't always stay young but one can always act immature :D
