Just read that thread out of boredom again and my God was it stupid... I remember being kind of speechless and never really getting round to actually posting anything... Sometimes I wonder why people miss the old days of BSN... 

 

Anyway, I'll post now and say congrats Helda. You're obviously one of the best soloers to play the game and it takes a lot of skill, practice and dedication to be able to achieve the times you consistently get, regardless of the advantages PC gamers have over console gamers. A fact that was lost on some people unfortunately... But some of the vitriol in that thread...

Not much grinding for this one, really. A lot of the times were in the ~13:30 range (or would've been, cause I bled out a lot on w10 when I realized I won't make it) so once the stars aligned (= w8) I got it done.

 

Yes I'd say I almost frequently pick up on new things when I'm doing solos. Admittedly, not so much on Glacier, because that's been done unto death, but a lot more on other maps I've been soloing lately (Giant, Jade, White, etc. - check those out in the Gold solo HoF and my signature). Dropping my mouse's DPI from 4140 down to 1080 also helped improve my aim by a metric fuckton, especially when sniping.

 

Most of the waves on Glacier can be brought down to ~50 seconds with somewhat favourable spawns (they don't actually need to be the godly 8-spawns) and top-notch shooting. That would equate to 10:20 overall, but what I've got from waves that I actually managed to finish really fast it's something like ~11:15.

I don't think I actually mind that much. They kept the thread bumped to the top 24/7 (until it got locked and reposted anyway).
